Boulder PD SERIOUSLY bungled it.
The Boulder PD allowed a dozen people roam around the house willy nilly and allowed the women to wash the dishes and clean up around the house. Then they sent John and a friend to search the house and lost track of John for over an hour.
No preservation of evidence whatsoever.
And John covering for them both. He disappeared for over an hour that morning during the time the "kidnapper" was supposed to call (Patsy didn't care the call never came), arranges for his pilot to get the plane ready and then finds JonBenet in the basement where his friend had previously checked and carries the body upstairs screwing up any evidence.
“You don’t take a 4 or 5 year old girl and dress her up like a $10 hooker and parade her around the country.”
What’s more sickening is my recollection of news coverage prior to her death, is that the media just ate this stuff up, like it was the right thing to do with children. Then during the investigation/trial, the kids photo was everywhere with little to no mention of how disgusting it was to dress her up as a hooker.

Handwriting analysists through the years have said the handwriting is similar to Patsy’s. The writer used 7 pages of Patsy’s notepad and Patsy’s pen. Four practice pages and three for the finished note. Who hangs around for however long composing and rewriting a ransom note? It was left on the staircase that Patsy would come down in the mornings.
That morning, Patsy was still wearing the same outfit she had on during the Christmas Eve party. What wealthy person does that?
It was “trace DNA” the investigators said could have come from when the panties were manufactured. Most women understand this and wash new clothes before wearing them. Heck, my grandma and mama knew this eons ago so everything was washed before we wore it.
The panties JonBenet had on were new from the package so that’s a red flag. Another problem was the panties were several sizes too large. Patsy said she had bought the panties to give to a friend’s older daughter. So, who knew which Christmas package had the panties inside?

That whole family is/was kind of creepy.
And to think I once thought that was kinda pretty there outside the mountains.
Didn’t know much about politics there but I knew Denver had a lot of fruits and nuts.
