She talks about electricity like it just magically pops out of the air. Huge majority of fuel used to generate electricity is, OMG, oil and coal and natural gas.
Solar is a blimp on the radar and way behind hydro, nuclear, and even wind I’d think.
I think that someone in the party will have a sit down with her after she gets sworn in.
Its because commies are not interested in lifting peoples standards of living up.
Commies require everyones standards of living to go down, save for the inner party members who are the special, royalty/oligarchs.
When everyone has very little, revolt/overthrow is far tougher, and control over everyone is stronger, and getting people to snoop for the govt for ‘rewards’ works.

You would expect that someone with an economics degree from an ivy league school could do simple math. Take the average earnings of the top 1%, figure 1% of the population, now take 70% of that. That she claims would fund her program. Yes, it’s about 2.6 trillion dollars. However, a conservative estimate of the cost in the first year is roughly double that. The 2.6 assumes the top 1% are stupid and passive and don’t find a way to hide/save income from the taxation. In other words, her plan or “analysis” is either laughably incorrect, or she is lying. Probably both. Additionally, this doesn’t even begin to account for the negative impact of pulling that 2.6 out of the economy. It isn’t just stuffed under mattresses. Sure, it would go back into the economy in her program too - but in very different segments, with a healthy cut off the top for government inefficiencies, graft, and dumb handouts and other pork.
Pretty much. She certainly isn't drafting this alone - which means there's a whole bunch of unhinged hive-mind commies behind her.

The article presents a reasoned, rational evaluation of AOC’s proposal. It will not persuade any adherent of the idea because the idea is not about reducing the need for “fossil” fuel. It is about control of every aspect of American lives. It is a tenant of the Left’s religion. Religion is not about logic or reason. It is about belief.
Up until now the Left has taken an incremental approach to implementing its regime of total control. But having elected Obama and seen Newsweek declare, “We are all socialists now,” the Left has decided that all the changes need to be implemented right this instant! After all, why wait for utopia? Part of the Left’s violent response is because Trump’s election represents a clear step back. We are only taking that step back because Obama was a departure from incrementalism and his election was supposed to signal the start of utopia. The Left is in panic mode trying to stop the sudden theological reversal.
Agree. Look at what we thought of Obama in the early days. Never underestimate those who will "help" with a clear conscience as they kill or enslave us.
There is only one way to derail this type of thinking and that is with public debate. The debate event would require a structure impossible for the left to agree on. REAL rules of debate disallowing straying off subject, no personal attacks, no statements that are not backed up with facts AGREED UPON AS TRUTH BY BOTH SIDES PRIOR TO THE DEBATE. Actual rules of debate not a media circus demo. The colorization by the ultra-left media makes it not possible to provide unfiltered debate presentation for the public to digest.

It is economic warfare with visible, verifiable demographic results.
They already sat her down; she is doing their bidding (just as Otoken did in 2008). She proposes something absurd to move the goalposts, and we’ll end up with a compromise that still moved us farther left than anyone imagined (while other Dems are called “moderate” for compromising).

Oh, it's worse than that. She's jonesing to go full Pol Pot against all the people who complained about her lousy service and didn't tip her well, and everybody she perceives/projects as being like those people.
