Can’t do that with a simple bill. It would need an amendment to the Constitution.

Can’t blame them.

With total control of California, they can generate millions of fraudulent votes (like they just did in 2016)to make the margin necessary to win any nationwide popular vote.

Combined with the fact they are three hours later in voting, they would know every election night after the eastern states have reported their vote totals exactly how many votes they have to come up with.

Who’s going to stop them? - the democrat governor? The democrat senators? The overwhelming democrat congressmen? The democrat state house and senate? The democrat county commissioners? The democrat election registrars?

Yep, you can’t blame them.

Go right ahead and get rid of it. The dems fail to realize the layer below romoving the EC is not one where votes of seperate states are combined. Nope sorry dems if we remove the electoral college what is left is each state has just one vote and there is no adjustment for population which is the primary function of the EC. California would have an election and whoever wins the state would get to cast just one vote for president. So Montanna could cancel out California or New York becase Montana would also have one vote. The President would then be chosen by the majority winner of 50 states, one vote for each state. Fine with me, when do we get started?

This can also work against them - wait for ALL of these laws to be repealed when Trump wins the 2020 popular vote, and deep blue states end up casting EVs for him.

I have a question as to the Constitutionality of such laws...they defeat the purpose of the EC - which is to avoid having Presidential elections decided almost entirely by the most populous states. That’s why we have a Senate, and why the EVs are tied to both the number of House seats and Senate seats that each state has. I’m not sure that this has been challenged in federal court (and it would, necessarily, wind up in the SC if it did).

Some of them will take a “UN Constitution for Elites” class instead...

Evidence of pandering to the black caucus.

What value would it have? It would take a Constitutional Amendment to do away with it. The democrats do not stand a snowball’s chance in hell of getting that Amendment passed.

How about sending the Republicans first?

They all go to the same Marxist schools as the Dems - and it shows.
