Bloomberg spent $100,000,000 buying support from Dems running in 2018. He expects a return on that money.

Bloomberg is a big supporter of charter schools...Teacher’s unions don’t like charter schools...He gave money to Marshall Tuck, the guy who lost in the CA race for state education secretary job...Unions supported Tuck’s opponent...
Will Bloomberg apologize to teacher’s unions for supporting charter schools?

Bloomy doesnt want to drop a cool billion just to be a spoiler in the Ross Perot role. Exactly. If anyone is going to run as an Ind. just to be a spoiler (bankrolled by open borders globalists) it'll be someone like Ryan or Kasich.

[Lets go down the first four primary/caucus states. He doesnt have the Iowa friendly nature required. No win there. NH? NO, thats pretty much guaranteed for Warren. South Carolina? No...southerners wont be attracted to the guy? Nevada? Maybe. That doesnt sit well for him to invest big money and only have one single primary from the four.]
Bloomberg isn’t charismatic, but he does have a ton of cash. He’s also a really smart guy in a practical sense. He built Bloomberg LP from nothing into a $50b company. Money and an understanding of how to use that money is how he won NYC’s mayorship despite being completely uncharismatic. For Bloomberg to win not 1, but 3 terms as NYC mayor is an unprecedented feat for a non-politician with no particular political talent and views far to the right of the median NYC voter.

That’s just a taste. I expect he will spend $1b or more in the Democratic primary buying even more support from Democratic luminaries. At $50K a pop, that’s endorsements from and appearances with 20,000 Democratic pols. I don’t think he’ll need 20,000. 10,000 should be sufficient for him to get Democratic voter attention. The rest, he can spend on media buys and GOTV efforts in white areas for the Democratic primaries.

He criticized liberal Democrats attitude toward big business, endorsing certain financial regulations but singling out a proposal by Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts to break up Wall Street banks as wrongheaded. He also defended his mayoral administrations policy of stopping people on the street to search them for guns, a police tactic that predominantly affected black and Latino men, as a necessary expedient against crime. And while Mr. Bloomberg expressed concern about allegations of sexual misconduct that have arisen in the last year, he also voiced doubt about some of them and said only a court could determine their veracity.
Bloomberg would be a perfect choice for the Demwits, because he's a gun grabbing pro-homo pro-abortion Democrat in all but name, but as a while male geriatric billionnaire, he wouldn't fit their ridiculous sexist racist narrative. Of course, that wouldn't stop them. It would be as foregone a conclusion as the me-too Wendell Willkie vs FDR.

Hillary doesn’t want to run against Bernie Sanders:
NYT runs sexism piece on Sanders.

Hillary doesn’t want to run against Bloomberg:
NYT runs sexism + racism piece on Bloomberg.

His policies impacted blacks and Latinos!)
So, who’s next, NYT?

Bloomberg will get about as far with the Democrats as Jeb did with the Republicans.
The ONLY OPTION for Bloomberg, if he’s serious, is to run Third Party, but then who will he pull votes from? My answer is the Democrats, given how whacked out they are...and that is providing that Trump doesn’t double-cross us, such as on immigration.
So then Bloomberg must ask: Does he want to be the SPOILER who sends Trump to the White House for ANOTHER 4 years?

That would depend on whether he wants a 70% federal income tax imposed by whatever non-Bloomberg candidate becomes the Democratic nominee. I could seriously see a social liberal plutocrat jumping in 3rd party to defeat a socialist Democrat, just as a matter of wealth preservation.

Bloomberg intends to run a media campaign. Flooding places like IA and NH with advertising instead of competing with other Dem candidates for local activists. Going for ‘independents’.

Activists? How about black pastors, current and former office holders, who appear during campaign ads and events? As I pointed out earlier, $500m buys $50K to hand out to the non-profit of choice of 10,000 individual political endorsers. That’s a lot of significant current and former Dem pols giving Bloomberg a thumbs-up. This is what he did to win 3 times in NYC, despite being far to the right of the NYC electorate (although significantly left of the GOP).

He has plenty going for him, money and support from media types.
But an EX-RINO who is still more moderate than most democrats on several issues is a hard sell for rat primary voters. Rats allocate delegates proportionally so he’d need 50%+1 to be nominated. I have trouble seeing it.
Strong chance of a brokered convention though we’ve though that before.
