I dont know if there is legal cause, but hes wrong. Theres little inflation and economic growth doesnt cause inflation. Hes already cost us hundreds of billions of dollars in higher interest payment on Obamas debt. People got to jail for robbing you of thirty dollars. When you trash the economy as a Fed chief youre a hero.
There's no doubt that Trump disagrees with the Fed's actions. But that isn't cause enough to fire Powell.

Don’t think so. Gov’t can always find a reason.

Everyone says that Powell was selected by Trump, which is true but the Chairman of the Fed can only be selected from the sitting members of the Board of Governors, so his choices were very limited. Ben Bernanke, Alan Greenspan, and Paul Volker were just three of the recent Fed chairs what were appointed to the Board of Governors and the Fed Chairmanship on the same day. Trump could have appointed anyone he wanted.

Cause is not defined. The president can indeed fire him if he finds a cause. Poor performance of the job can be a cause easily.

I am really starting to see how the globalist establishment has taken self rule out of then hands of the people in so many ways. This is just one example.

The debt began spiraling out of control when GWB "temporarily" lowered interests rates so the US could gear up to fight terrorism, and then pay off debt quickly. Instead, the DC crooks spent like drunken sailors (cliché, I know, to say it: apologies to drunken sailors) and it's still going on.
President Trump made a mistake, JMHO, by signing that first obscene budget from Ryan and His Traitors. The federal debt still isn't decreasing, balancing the budget isn't even mentioned. It can't end well. Later is better than never....those interest rates have to be raised to a reasonable level to (1) keep gov in check and (2) so responsible savers can make enough interest to save for their futures on FDIC CDs.

Id say his days are numbered. LOL And I'd say Powell will still be there three years from now.

Poor performance of the job can be a cause easily. Poor performance as judged by whom?
To: DoodleDawg
Time for an audit. Past time, actually.
To: DoodleDawg
Says you. The causes he can be removed for are completely undefined. He can easily justify it with job performance issues. He doesnt have to be banging a secretary on the desk.

Time for an audit. Past time, actually. It varies from bank to bank but the annual audits should be starting any time now.
