I wanted him to beat Obama as well, and of course voted for him.
Romney had tons of republican support, he had the base, he just couldn’t attract undecided
But that is how Trump won, he attracted the undecided as well. Even if they didn’t like him personally or thought he was rash, they voted for him because of one simple line during the campaign “what do you have to lose”.
Republicans did - conservatives at most held their noses with a grimace. (Me, I voted Constitution Party.)
