I agree about Oregon.
I was surprised when I looked it up as they are pretty balanced between Dems, Independents, and Republicans.
Like most Dem states, the Republicans have more geography but the Dems have the cities.
However, Oregon is only 2nd to New York for the highest income tax in the USA.
