I do not think she is an idiot. She just knows a whole lot of things that are not true.

At 29, I recall I had some pretty silly ideas about how the world worked as well.

She has had the entire establishment (as you so astutely note) feeding her nonsense and re-enforcing it, over and over and over.

I am not surprised she is entirely convinced of it. She has been told it is absolutely true by authority figures, for her entire rational, life.

It makes for interesting drama. I wonder if she will ever "red pill". I doubt it. She is too comfortable, he interests are now too completely aligned with maintaining the scam.

Amen! We need to figure out how to take back the schools, or at least offer alternatives to the nanny state education system. A free market would be best.

You are outlining what I consider to be a truly dismaying situation. I don’t know what it will take to wake up all the children who have been taught everything EXCEPT the truth. Ocasio-Cortez is not the problem, she is ONE symptom of the problem. The problem is the millions who think they know so much but actually know less than a typical ten year old from the backwoods used to know. As has been said before, their problem is not so much what they don’t know, it is all the things they know that are not true. Unless a way can be found to make them realize that most of what they know consists of lies and nonsense there is no way forward that I can see.
