More Americans blame President Trump for the current government shutdown, and Democrats are feeling emboldened. After taking at least 40 seats in the midterm election, House Democrats finally have subpoena power and can investigate the president and his administration, seeking evidence of crimes they can use to impeach Donald Trump.
But despite the shutdown, and recent news on multiple criminal investigations of the president, and even the shuttering of his charitable foundation by the New York Attorney General for a "shocking pattern of flagrant and repeated illegality," Donald Trump enjoys a job approval rating of around 90 percent with Republican voters. In fact, President Trump is gaining popularity with Republicans. Remember, when first elected, Trumps approval rating with Republican voters stood at about 80 percent.
Trumps overwhelming support from Republican voters means that GOP members of Congress will not abandon the president, nor use impeachment proceedings to remove him from office, unless a large percentage of Republican voters first abandon him themselves.
Still, many Democrats who overwhelmingly despise President Trump hope that, when Robert Mueller finally issues his report on Trumps alleged collusion with the Russian government, the findings will be so damning that Republicans in Congress will remove the president from office.
Thats wishful thinking for Democrats.

Trump will be in the WH thru his second term.
Bring it Gary, Bring it.
Democrats are evil.
More Americans blame President Trump for the current government shutdown
More than how many? Read another article recently stating almost fifty percent blame President Trump for the shutdown.......so that must mean more than fifty percent blame the democrats for the shutdown.
...Robert Mueller finally issues his report... the findings will be so damning that Republicans in Congress will remove the president from office.
That’s a lot of evidence manufacture ...
Why is Democrat subpoena power considered to be the key elixir now, when for the past several years, its been proven valueless?
Yeah, of a few thousand bucks. As compared to the Clinton foundation and BILLIONS in mismangement, including $6 BILLION in aid to Haiti completely disappearing, but of course the Clintons are not afforded that kind of investigation are they, even though they are NY residents.
There is no “there” there.
The NYAG fears what is coming and is attempting to create criminal relativism that can be touted by the media when the SHTF
The gambit is pathetically transparent
NYC is a joke.
I guess somebody has to speak for evil. But it's a nasty job.
This article that says,”More Americans blame President Trump for the current government shutdown.” This number has to be inflated by including illegal aliens in the total called “Americans.”
There are a lot of illegals out there who don’t want to be deported and the demoncrats want there votes so logically, to a demoncrat reporter those illegals must be considered American even if it’s “South Americans.”
If I were a betting man, I would bet that he is a single term president. I hope I’m wrong, but whenever his term officially ends, be it in two years or six, I’m going to buy a lot more ammo. I’m gonna need it.
They won’t impeach him if they have a single functioning brain cell.
What they WILL do is tie the administration in knots with endless investigations and harassment.
I bet most people dont even know there is a shutdown.
Do tell....not another vindictive vainglorious Democrat scheme?
<><> first they stole power----getting Congressional seats by the reprehensible practice of "vote harvesting,"
<><> now the sap-happy Dems are "crime harvesting" looking for crimes they hope will get them back into the WH.
======================================
POINTS TO PONDER-According to Prof Jonathan Turley, hating Trump has the Democrats remaking themselves.
In order to Get-Trump, Dems are making dizzying u-turns on their most revered positions.
<><>Turley observed that the sap-happy soft-on-crime Democrats have even embraced expanding definitions of crimes
like obstruction, conspiracy, and the like. Democrats have resisted efforts to criminalize broader and broader
areas of conduct, and now sound like legal hawks in demanding criminal charges for conduct long treated as civil
matters, such as campaign finance violations and foreign agent registration violations.
<><> Demos have heretofore looked askance at Americas endless wars but are now triggered by Trumps exit from
Syria and once rejected the premise that we should engage in continual wars in other countries or face
terrorism on our streets at home.
<><> Still in the sick throes of her Russian obsession, Pelosi said the exit was a Christmas gift to Putin. Sen.Tim Kaine (Hillary's VP), Rep. David Cicilline and others called it irresponsible or hasty. Forgetting that the hasty move is after seven years of intervention in the civil war, including personnel on the ground since 2012.
Democrats now espouse the same lines they once denounced during the Bush administration
<><> Trump-hater Morning Joe Scarborough sounding like the Republicanism he recently denounced says Trump failed to
understand we must fight enemies like ISIS abroad, so we do not have to fight them in our own schools, churches and airports.
FOREGONE CONCLUSION Trump is in the catbird seathe can easily trigger the hate-filled Dems on the border issue-
take a position that forces Demos to support border security that goes against everything they say thy stand for.
Trusting Republicans in the Senate to support President Trump against impeachment is like calling tails on a two-headed coin. First off, this majority thing is tiresome. They do better as the minority.
Secondly, most of them want to get back at him for slights, real and imagined.
Lastly, they claim the moral high ground and bet that stupid voters will reelect them.
President Trump has the dirt on all the Fake Congress. Release it and let the chips fall where they may.
