Remember when women who looked like Martha Raddatz couldn’t get a job as a news reader or television reporter on national news? (Not saying it was right...just reminiscing).
She got the job when she was younger and better looking. She's 65 now.
Raddatz resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her third husband, journalist Tom Gjelten, who is the Religion and Belief Correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR) news. Gjelten has worked for NPR since 1982, when he joined the organization as a labor and education reporter. More recently he has covered diplomatic and national security issues, based at NPR's headquarters in Washington, D.C.. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
She has two children from two previous marriages: a daughter, Greta Bradlee, and a son, Jake Genachowski. Her first husband was Ben Bradlee Jr., a Pulitzer prize-winning editor for The Boston Globe,[18] biographer, and son of former Washington Post executive editor Benjamin C. Bradlee. Her second husband was Julius Genachowski, chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission under the Obama Administration. President Barack Obama attended their wedding in 1991, when he and Genachowski were students at Harvard Law School.
