In an email to the Gateway Pundit, Google claimed that it could not provide specific reasons why the site had been rejected. Instead, the tech giant provided two common reasons for rejection, although it would not say if they were the actual reasons the conservative website was rejected.
Per Googles rules, publishers must submit an application to have their site appear in Google News search results. Once rejected, a publisher must wait 60 days before applying again.
Here is the message Google sent to The Gateway Pundit...

This is bad. wow. I have proved liberals wrong by searching google and it coming up with solid gateway pundit articles at the top of the search results. more than once.
FR is not a news site and has never been in the news searches. That might be discriinatory, but that's always been the case, unchanged for a decade or more.
When I use Google News to search for "Google is worthless for searching" I get:
"No results found for "Google is worthless for searching"
When I use Google All (not News) to search for "Google is worthless for searching", with quotes, I get
Google Blocks Gateway Pundit from News Search Results - Free Republic www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3716152/posts?page=38 which is FreedomPoster's reply. That has always been the case and there is no overt change that I have seen. However there may be covert changes. When I search without quotes

I don't see FR anywhere in the first 10 pages of results. I would have expected FreedomPoster's reply to show up in the past. Covert censorship is going to be very difficult to detect without a comprehensive automated testing approach. OTOH the Gateway Pundit News censorship is overt, not hard to detect, and can be fought with evidence-based complaints.
That is different from just typing some text into Google and getting results. That is Google Web or Google "All" which still gives results for Gateway Pundit. However, there could be covert censorship, it's hard to detect and hard to prove. When I type "AWFUL! LIBERAL FACEBOOK Censors Post" with quotes around it, I get Gateway Pumdit as the first result. FR's posting of that article in a thread is the second result. But remove the quotes, and Gateway Pundit did not show up on the first page. But when I searched again after using quotes, it showed up. Then I removed the last word and search for

and did not get a Gateway Pundit hit on the first page. So Google is crafty about covert censorship as that is easy for them to do, making it very difficult to detect and prove if they are in fact doing that.
Except of course, for the first amendment.
Mumble Bumbler continually elaborates his theory that freedom of the press ONLY applies to corporately employed individuals anointed by sacred college professors at universities, and he expresses his disdain for commoners engaged in public discourse in coarse, sexual terms.
That is who and what he reveals himself to be.
Bing did not like that I was searching with Duckduckgo. Bing also complains if I try to search with Google.

How does this happen?
I use StartPage. As a search engine, there has never been a reaction from my use of it.
Google is better only for translation and conversion engines, which come up instantly. Slightly better for people, too.
CNN is way worse than the Gateway Pundit.. bit corporations are behind CNN. Its time to turn it all off including Fox. Its all propaganda.
Whether you think the white house reads them or not, do like I do and send such examples to, “ Contact the Whitehouse”. Just do it, it will help influence as they will know that we en masse know.
Actually, Spunky.. that's just your interpretation of my
position, since I've never said any of that stuff. Perhaps you
should try paying more attention and doing less fantasizing.
Neither do I go around talking crap about people behind their
backs without pinging them like a cowardly little bitch would do.
I understand, that's your thing and you just gotta be you.
Now you just go and have yourself a wonderful day, hear?
Every Democrat is a violent totalitarian thug.
this is an opportunity to liberate google, FB, Twitter, Instagram and all other social media from the private sector and make them public utilities. Has to be done and done now, before the next election. We are in the middle of a coup and a fascist totalitarian takeover. If we do not take over the means of communication and free them we will frankly, die. for the leftists totalitarian fascists plan to eradicate all opposing viewpoints. ...
..
I do not pretend to be knowledgeable in how that is done or works. Boy would this make our day, year, decades more free.
Any legal eagles with feet firmly planted I’d like to hear an explanation.
I am not 100 per cent sure but I think this is an executive branch decision if the country is being threatened.
What happens is that I type www.goo or www.duckduckgo in the address bar in explorer, the rest of the address fills in and I hit enter. Instead of bringing up the website, Bing opens a search window that asks why I would use those other search engines when I have Bing right there, and invites me to type my query in the Bing tool. Below that window is a list of search results, the top one of which is the search engine I was trying to get to in the first place.
I usually do use Bing since its right there, but the best search engine in terms of returning the results I want is still Google. So I end up using Google anyway on more advanced searches, after my search on Bing or Duck fails. Google is far superior on image searches, as well, and it makes images easier to download once I find them. I truly hope these other search engines are working hard on their search algorithms, because once they can match or exceed Google, I think use of Google will drop drastically.

If that is the case then PDJT better start siting examples every day in tweets so when it is done everything would see it coming and the case already made. He is not doing that.
” Hoft often makes our side look bad with embarrassingly bad sourcing/jumping the gun.”
Just like all the other news sources that Google does allow

No wall at the border but a wall around the internet is the plan. The leftist scum want to be gatekeepers of people and information. They think they own you.
Google, Facebook and others have become too big to succeed.
