Playing God never works out well.
Don’t bats eat mosquitoes? Perhaps other life on the planet also rely on mosquitoes for their food chain?
Keeping the little pests under control is a great idea, but to try to eliminate them is going too far. There is bound to be an unexpected downside.
“Some folks never think about long-term issues”...
You are so correct...like Democrats, for example.
Why does Bloomberg hate bats and barn swallows?
Nor sharks, snakes, lions, crocodiles, nor bears are the most dangerous animals by number of humans killed. That crown belongs to the tiny mosquito.
Playing God could never go wrong. I mean, it’s Google!...
Mexicans are way more dangerous.
Cash flow, yes. But mostly the power it brings.
“When I saw the headline, I thought Google’s millennial operatives had come up with a new derogatory name for conservatives. :)”

A large pot of BOILING WATER. RINSE AND REPEAT.
Have you seen the “sculptures” that people have made by pouring molten aluminum down fire ant nests? Kind of attractive.
Oh yeah
Good luck with that idiots
Like it or not. Mosquitoes. Ants. Cockroaches. All are essential parts of nature and Can no more be eliminated than Can water or mountains
Oh, I agree. I love Az, came here from California but have been back east and the southeast many times. The heat I can do, but the humidity I just cannot.
But... I left ca behind as it should be. :)
Google, can you go after ticks next?
as in poli
Yes, “the vine that ate the South” was brought in to prevent soil erosion.
It can grow a foot a day.
Unintended consequences!
Let me be the first, if not the last to say that Google will never eradicate Mosquitos.
Now, of they could eradicate Liberals I might stand up and take notice.
That stuff is all over the place can’t stop it.
Exactly. that’s why anyone contemplating purposefully eradicating an entire species should seriously contemplate kudzu.
I have the feeling, however, that the would-be eradicators are like the people who want socialism- THEY are smart enough to do things “right.” THEY are so smart, it will work, THIS time.
