PRESIDENT Trump has admitted he was worried about the safety of his wife Melania during a surprise visit to US troops in Iraq, which took place yesterday.
The couple visited al-Asad airbase in western Iraq for about three and a half hours. Trump met US military commanders and addressed several hundred soldiers. It came just days after the President announced he was withdrawing US troops from Syria.
Asked by a journalist whether he had concerns about visiting the war torn country Trump replied: “Absolutely.
“When I heard what you had to go through.
“I had concerns about the institution of the presidency. Not for myself personally.
“I had concerns for the First Lady I will tell you.”
Trump made the secret visit on Air Force One with the lights turned off and window shades pulled down....

I wish I could remember which pundit was touting Hillary as a “war-time First Lady. “. What a crock.
He had to keep the trip a secret from the Democrats because they would have notified Iran, al Queda, ISIS, Taliban. You know, their friends.
“He is making it up to me with this for some of his facepalm tweets.”
There is nothing Ttump needs to make up to you or anyone else. His tweets are just fine.
Melania: Brains, courageous and beauty. A woman that other women can look up to and emulate.
He should have left her home then.
If she was in danger then he was in danger. Should he have stayed home as well or just left her home?
It doesn’t say he was worried about himself... just her.
I figure he’s got enough to worry about already.

Once I heard about his trip, I was thinking what a courageous first lady (and President) because no doubt there were security concerns. I know other Presidents have made such trips. But I don’t know that any other First Ladies have done so....and I use the term “ladies” on purpose.
