Hey, there! Hope you had pretty weather for a change. It was nice at first here then it got dark, it got nasty and then it rained. 1/2 inch.

Yes, they did look happy and I’ll bet most of them were VERY happy to see the beautiful First Lady! :)

Good evening, ML…((HUGS))…any walking weather lately?

We are coming up out of the teens for some snow in the next few days.

If you peeked in on DH this afternoon, it did NOT look like that here. LOL! I was jealous of their blue skies and sunshine. The sun peeked out a couple of times but it was primarily cloudy. At least it was a little warmer than it has been.

Your rain and storms will come through here tomorrow. Glad you did get some rain today. I was afraid it was all going to be east of you.

Have you checked DNN tonight? It’s on highlights now but go back about halfway and see what that poor eagle is dealing with tonight. BRRRRRR

You KNOW they were VERY happy to see the First Lady!

What a great picture, Luv.

So happy that Melania could go with him...I’m betting the guys, and the gals, really enjoyed her visit too. d:o)

I don’t see any forced smiles, like “I have to be here”.

I did see how pretty it was as DH...and also popped in at both the Decorah nests and it looked MISerable! Imaging having to sleep in that. Ugh.

It’s funny. When I went out to feed the kittehs this morning, it was breezy and cool, but they were so skittish and Li’l Bit left without even eating, acting like something scared her. Midnight also quit mid-meal and scurried to the shed like something was after him.It wasn’t long after that when the sky darkened and the wind became terrific. The kittehs totally disappeared. Maybe they “knew something”.

Exactly! No scowling faces like when “unmentionable’’ went to get a photo op with them. They seemed like they were reallp appreciative of the visit.

They had a gorgeous day up there and it was warmer than here due to the sunshine. Tomorrow’s supposed to be in the 60s but we’ll have that wind you had today.
Your cats probably heard it roaring long before you did and that’s what had them skittish.

At least the snow at Decorah was falling vertically, not horizontally like it was at Decorah North. Man, that looked rough! It was coming down hard at the MN nest too.

It's funny how different the weather is from one of the nests to the other and they aren't too terribly far from each other.

HERE is sort of what it was like here. I was protected somewhat by the house, except for the gust that grabbed the door from me.

Howdy, MS.B!

Bummer you had to work yesterday. Will you get new Years off since you did work Christmas?

Lucky you seeing three eagles today! They’re around here, too, but I don’t see them all that often. Once in a while I’m outside at the right time and see one soar over the farm.

The Decorah nest must be in a more sheltered area than Decorah North and the wind was blocked a bit. Nothing blocked it at DNN. Yeowy!

It was pretty breezy at your house today alright.
They say we can expect 35 to 40 mph gusts here tomorrow. As long as they aren’t any stronger, we shouldn’t have any tree debris to pick up unless there are still some broken branches in trees from the tornado last month that haven’t fallen yet.

It’s a beautiful sight to see!
The last one I saw soared slowly over the military museum while I was taking a smoke break. I was mad at myself for not having my camera with me. A perfect opportunity missed. :-(
