Don't Fret About The Rocket Launchers That Keep Turning Up At Gun Buybacks
Business Insider ^ | Jan. 30, 2013 (but still relevant) | Paul Szoldra

Gun buybacks across the country are grabbing some serious headlines, especially when they mention turn-ins of military rocket launchers.

In December, the Los Angeles Police Chief proudly displayed one, then one showed up at Seattle's gun buyback on Jan. 28 with another one in New Jersey showing up just today.

Despite the headlines and the wonder-inspiring fact that missile launchers are floating around U.S. cities, they're all harmless — and very easy to get, especially if you've been in the Army or Marine infantry.

Shhh! If this gets around we won’t get $500 at a buyback for a spent launch tube!

Probably get more turning in the spent tube than what you could get for recycle. Single shot, pretty much useless except for a prop.

Operation Dragon Fire:

China agrees to export to USA street gangs over 2,000 full auto AK’s.

They also agreed to export MANPADS.

“...very easy to get, especially if you’ve been in the Army or Marine infantry.”

mm-hmm.

Just try to sneak one off the firing range and see how easy it is.

I vaguely recall a guy in the 70’s who got arrested for using a grenade launcher to illegally hunt bear.

Never EVER educate a gun grabber. They’ll only use it for their original agenda.

Here's a nice rocket launcher.

Has anybody turned in one of these yet?

The boneheads in Baltimore just paid $500 for a fiberglass tube.

They also paid a certain FReeper $200 for a broken .380 that I, I mean he paid $110 for brand new and $100 for a $35 garage sale shotgun.

Got 1000 rounds of .223 on order.
