Wait what....
Why are they doing Summer food service in winter,,...?
And why "School Lunch, School Breakfast" when schools are on recess...?
Why is "Adult Care Feeding" lumped in with Child nutrition programs....?
Seems to me some serious redundancies are in order.
Well, its summer somewhere...
Psychology. You're likely to focus on the word "child" and skip over the word "adult." It's just one of the many ways that journalists hide details that don't support the narrative.
It would be good for Trump to consolidate all the dozens of welfare programs under HHS, and lay off a bunch of redundant administrating staff.
Beat me to it. That paragraph jumped out at me as well. And that doesnt even include all of the programs, like WIC.
And yes, you have that right on school meals. The main school district in Houston offers free breakfast and lunch to all students year round. They recently expanded it to include the only 1/3 of students who were not already eligible under a means tested program.
But if we are feeding these kids breakfast and lunch, why are their parents getting food stamps for the same meals?
Those summer school food services include ages 0 to 21.
As a board member I nayed about half of the cafeteria reports because the breakdown given to us members would say, "food .... abc company .... $1,234.00 ................... food .... xyz co....... $17.78 .................. food ...... lmnop company ........ $2,345.00 " and on and on and I would ask ,,, "Just exactly WHAT is the "food" we're authorizing a thousand plus dollars for?"
EVERYONE, school board and administration, the solicitor would swivel their heads looking for SOMEONE to answer that question.
It was ONCE proffered that it was probably for vegetables that were different kinds and I asked, "Whay CAN'T it be boken down to peas, beans and carrots?"
Bottom line is, every cafeteria report is massive with hundreds of "food" entry's and no one ever told me what the food was.
Might even have been hundred dollar hammers.
That's a separate Federal Department
