Her death marked another flashpoint in the debate over the White House's hard-line approach to immigration enforcement.

Bush brought them here
Looks like they did what they could. If this boy walked all the way from Guatemala no telling what he was exposed to. It is unfortunate that his life ended this way but how is the border patrol or the US government responsible?
Lets cherry pick the tales of woe. Democrats and MSM busy at work
Clearly they are being persecuted here in the US. Send them to Guatemala where they can get amnesty.
I believe the presence of the Holy Spirit is getting more and more intense in America in recent years. God is a God of mercy. If we got mere judgment, the Yellowstone volcano might have blown up by now. But wrath isn’t the first thing on His agenda.
If you read the article, a Border Patrol agent noticed that the boy looked sick, and had him seen by a doctor. The doctor gave him ibuprofin and returned him to custody, where he died 90 minutes later. So, at a minimum, there was medical malpractice.
It might be more educational to point up “Look at who was saved from heartless exploitative coyotes” in the face of this. Then we can say it’s a pity this situation wasn’t helped, but certainly the answer can’t be to blindly facilitate unscreened immigration.
I wonder if the doc knew the background of the kid. Something that might have worked for almost all American kids showing similar symptoms disregarded the risk present.
So Sorry for your Loss,
Comfort for this painful
season of remembrance.
I don’t care. Perhaps the irresponsible parasitic parents should stop dragging their kids thousands of miles away from their homes to break our laws.
Fake News Headline: 8-year-old Guatemalan boy dies in US custody on Christmas
Real News Headline: Guatemalan parents grieve after death of 8-year-old son they used to gain illegal entry into US.
Can’t agree that the boy died ‘in BP custody’. Apparently they took him to a hospital twice where he perished. Not our fault but CNN makes it sound like he died while the BP had him locked in a cage or something.
We should care about humanitarian disasters, even those brought on by foolish politicians.
So sorry for your loss - and glad you’re back on track. Keep fighting the good fight. You’ll see him again soon.
That is horrible. Sorry for your loss. I don’t know how I could deal with that.
I’ve noticed that families that are closer to God also encounter more, not fewer, earthly troubles. Remember that to Satan, God stinks and Satan takes every pot shot at God’s interests that he can. But God manages to work all such things into turnaround stories — all these pot shot “victories” turn out Pyrrhic for the devil.
God Bless You.
No, we are not respomsible for the poor of the world nor of their illegal activities.
There will always be poor who want to take our wealth
We must stay vigilant to guard against the theft
We are responsible to the God of providence. Did He bless us? Then we must bless others, and not just within our little circle. Part of this blessing is in showing them how a God of providence can bless them directly too, and then how they can add to the wealth of the world. It’s not to excuse bumming as a way of life. But oh, you so misunderstand God if you do not understand and you see this from a one dimensional point of view.
And by the way... the foolish politicians who beckoned them on were American.
Busted.
