I think there is something big coming. And I’m glad President Trump is our commander-in-chief should something big be on the horizon.
China, a potential Cilil War (Where I’m pretty sure POTUS will be on our side) and perhaps even he and the Joint Chiefs are starting to take a technology-based attack seriously.
All of these things I pray are just the ramblings of a paranoid person, but I do think that something is coming.

Any strategic advantage (from the US withdrawals) that Russia & Iran purportedly would get in Afghanistan and Syria will be amply offset by the declines in energy prices, which are already strangling their economies.
Eventually they'll have to reduce their Middle East military footprints too.
Meanwhile, we'll be singing "Drill Baby Drill" in TX and NM (developing the huge shale fields of the Permian Basin).
