The U.S. State Department announced on Tuesday that it is pledging more than $10 billion to help strengthen the economies of Central America and Southern Mexico to stem the flow of thousands of migrants surging into the country.
“The United States pledged $5.8 billion in aid and investment Tuesday for strengthening government and economic development in Central America and another $4.8 billion in development aid for southern Mexico,” the Associated Press (AP) reported.
“The U.S aid aims to promote better security conditions and job opportunities as part of a regional plan to allow Central Americans to remain in their countries and not have to emigrate,” the AP reported.
Mexican Foreign Relation Secretary Marcelo Ebrard read the State Department announcement aloud in the Mexican capital.
“In sum, I think this is good news, very good news for Mexico,” Ebrard said in the AP report.

Giving 4.8 billion to a deeply corrupt mexican government. Hey, it’s only taxpayer money. Plenty more where that came from.
Costa Rica does not export their citizens because they are happy there. In fact, they take in a few refugees and seek, quite successfully I might add, to attract American retirees to their beautiful country because they create even more jobs and wealth for the locals.
That's why we have last minute massive omnibus spending now. It's how government employees live large and pedal influence. You know, like congress.

So basically around 20,000 Americans were just told that the lifetime sum of all their taxes will be given to Mexico and Central America.

The money should be paid to US companies that go down and rebuild these economies. Just sending money is begging to get ripped off.

I think the quickest and most long-lasting thing is “Make Mexico the wall”.
Not “Make Mexico pay for the wall”.

Make Mexico BE the wall. Essentially, colonize the place, give the white elites so much money they conform to our needs, build a real wall on the Guatemala-Mexico border. Turn Mexico into our Croatia, in other words.
As one who has lived and worked in the countries that benefit, I proclaim it is money down a rathole.
Money down a rat hole unless it delivers specific, wide-spread justice reform that includes the absolute, total eradication of the gangs.
The wall cannot be built over the overwhelming, bipartisan opposition in Congress.
Not unless Congress is dispersed and we have a military dictatorship for 10-15 years.
Donald Trump is the best President of the US, possibly ever. But he's just a man.

We the People have failed and failed again to elect a Congress which is willing to do what we say we want.
They have to take back all of their citizens who are here illegally as part of the deal, right?

I still believe President Trump is sincerely on our side, but there has been a 30 year bipartisan policy of population movement aimed at stealing our country from US by flooding it with foreigners.
One man alone can’t stop it and we keep electing Bush League Republicans who work against US, like Flimsey Grahamnesty and Marco Rubio and Mitt Romney.
