DC Just Passed the "Strongest Climate Legislation" in the Nation
Earther ^ | 18 December 2018 | Brian Kahn

The Trump administration isn’t about renewable energy, but thanks to the Washington, D.C., city council, it could soon be running on clean power. The council passed one of the most ambitious climate bills in the country on Tuesday requiring the District to get all of its energy from renewables by 2032...."This is only the beginning," Reverend Yearwood, the head of the Hip Hop Caucus, said at the press conference after the bill was passed.

No, it was a freeway exit. Forget where. Just pathetic.

I would have ignored it but I live in Maryland and drive through DC a lot for work, in a company car so a pullover by the vultures wouldn’t go well. I fought it for six months then gave up.

Of course, two weeks later, they quit suspending licenses for non payment. Probably an empty threat anyway. I don’t think DC can suspend a Maryland license.

I know yours was different. I just said K St tunnel because that’s where I got mine. You might have been hit at 295 exit 1. That’s the top grossing camera.

Georgetown, TX, where I live, gets all of its electricity from renewables. They signed long-term contracts anticipating growth and sell the surplus back to the grid. And the price of electricity has dropped so much that they lost over six million dollars this year.

It's insane that anyone from Texas over 40 years of age doesn't realize that energy markets fluctuate wildly over time.

Oh, I thought you were guessing K street for me. You’re right about 295. That was the exit.

Love the DC license plates.

I’ll give you your Taxation without Representation.

See my post 64. You don’t have to travel all the way to Germany to see renewable follies in action.

The “people” on the wdc council are subhuman mutants without normally functioning brains. It is pathetic that ANY taxpayer money through Fed taxes goes to fund their LIB lunacy. What morons...nitwits.

Washington DC - the city that manufactures absolutely nothing will have strict emissions standards. It’s like Miami announcing an end to snow blower purchases.

Re: “Both of your links go to the same place (click bait MSN). Why does one of the links say Earther?”

Because “Earther” wrote the article.

MSN.com purchases and posts original content.

MSN.com is not click bait, it's a news aggregator.

It posts articles from Reuters, Associated Press, Washington Post, etc., every day.

MSN.com is an excellent source for what is happening in the Hard Left USA and international news media.
