Court orders company to comply with special counsel subpoena in mystery grand jury appeal
CNN ^

(CNN)Four days after attorneys secretly argued over a grand jury subpoena suspected to be related to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election, a federal appeals court is forcing an unnamed company to comply with the subpoena.

The appeals court did not identify the company, nor did the appellate judges say the subpoena was related to the Mueller investigation. The company that sought to quash the subpoena is owned by a foreign country, the ruling Tuesday said. But the hearing Friday came after several other secretive court clashes between Mueller's team and the company that received the subpoena, apparently over a grand jury action. The US Circuit Court in DC had locked down an entire floor of the courthouse Friday to prevent disclosure of the lawyers' identities.

Pagliano knew that if he tried to show up and tell the truth, or DID show up and tell the truth, he wasn’t going to be alive for very long.

He stays alive as long as he keeps his mouth shut and plays the game.

(that’s my tinfoil on why he didn’t show.....)

Wonder if this has to do with that Russian company, Concord or something, that the Mule head charged and did not expect them to respond. They hired a American law firm who showed up in court to respond to the subpoena, and defend their client.

I was thinking the same thing....the Russian company is fighting back against that dirtbag Mueller.

If so, I’m glad someone is doing so.

Has it come to this: secret court proceedings against unnamed defendants represented by unnamed attorneys, on unspecified charges....

This is not the LAW if a free people or a free society.

A “company owned by a foreign country”? Is that correct, or just the sloppy writing of yet another j-school wannabe working for a blog?

Yep..that is what is being reported.... another source:

The ruling offers the intriguing detail that the entity fighting the Mueller subpoena is a foreign-owned company, not a specific individual, as many had speculated.

I was referring to the phrasing. They said a company "owned by a foreign country", not "owned in a foreign country". How many countries own companies? Which countries? Which companies?

If it is accurate you can start to narrow the list. Just wondering aloud - is Gazprom, the Russian Gas company, owned by Russia the country? Uranium One? The Saudi Petroleum Company (the exact name escapes me) is, I think, owned by Saudi Arabia... you see where I'm going?

So either it's a sloppy grammatical error, or a clue.

Saudi Aramco is the oil company you are thinking of...and I thought of that also as a possibility

here is another source with the same wording:

The federal appeals court ruled late Tuesday that the “the Corporation” owned by “Country A” must comply with the grand jury subpoena.

The three-page ruling said that the company had sought to squash the subpoena because it is “immune under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act” and because the subpoena would “require the Corporation to Violate Country A’s domestic law.”

more clues from the link:
However, CNN reported that after court activity appeared to end for the day, a black Justice Department car returned to Mueller’s office in Washington, carrying lawyers Michael Dreeben and Zainab Ahmad.

Zainab Ahmad: Zainab N. Ahmad (born 1980) is an American prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice who specializes in investigating and prosecuting terrorism.......Ahmad was one of the team members responsible for handling the case against Michael Flynn,[18] and appeared in court on behalf of the Special Counsel for Flynn’s plea bargain.[19]

I think I’m done trying to correctly guess what’s actually going on in the government and DS. I try to use logic, which is limited by the information we’re given, as well as the truthfulness of the information we’re given. God will have to sort it out, because He’s the only one who knows the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, as well as knowing the end from the beginning.
