While Republicans controlled Congress, they should have used marijuana legalization as a vehicle to pass a broader 10th Amendment restoration act.
All federal laws (not just marijuana laws) based on interstate commerce should be limited to commerce between residents of two or more states, not commerce wholly within one state that may have some theoretical effect on interstate commerce.

Like it or not eventually it will be legal and receive a tax stamp on it just like Liquor and Tobacco. If the IRS can tax it then they will as we need to deal with the deficit

The Senate is expected to vote Tuesday on an amendment that would federally legalize marijuana by allowing states to regulate their own medical and recreational pot markets. Bravo, federalism.
