Flynn lied to protect the ambassador and not himself.
It was an off the record conversation....that’s what we call a discussion....or “getting to know you”.
I am surprised Flynn didn’t know all the calls in and out of the Russian Embassy are intercepted and recorded. I am sure the ambassador knew it though and if he asked Flynn to lie then he was setting him up.
