Never heard of death by marijuana overdose....

Emergency rooms were deluged with psychotic problems when Colorado legalized. One kid freaked out and jumped out a window to his death and another one thought he could fly.

I could see the jumping out of the window thing, because an extreme dose of THC, which one will get easily through "edibles" if one doesn't know what he is doing, can bring about some rather severe stress and paranoia in the uninitiated. However, freakin' nobody thinks they can fly just on THC. Most likely, assuming that anecdote is true, the person was on something else, either with, or instead of.

I'm going to clue some of you rabid anti-pot people in on something: the outlandish claims that you make regarding the effects of marijuana, oftentimes blatantly confusing marijuana with PCP, LSD or God-knows-what, actually serve to diminish the credibility of any anti-marijuana argument. Those who have experience with pot know that you're full of sh*t in this regard, and therefore assume that all of your argument is BS, and those who don't have personal experience with pot but know decent people who do, also end up thinking your arguments are BS.

But what is worse is that then you get a whole generation doubting the arguments against any drug use, because if the anti-pot stuff is BS, what else is BS? Add to that the fact that we once outlawed alcohol for many of the same reasons that anti-pot people want to ban pot, and you have lost all credibility. And yet, we very much need for there to be a valid anti-drug argument, especially for some of the really nasty stuff.

tl;dr Stop making nonsensical, emotional, sarcastic, hysterical claims about mj if you want to retain credibility at all
