(SPRINGFIELD, Mo.) — A Missouri poacher has been ordered to repeatedly watch the movie “Bambi” as part of his sentence for illegally killing hundreds of deer.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that David Berry Jr. was ordered to watch the Disney classic at least once a month during his year-long jail sentence in what conservation agents are calling one of the largest deer poaching cases in state history.

Every drive we see deer, squirrel, eagles, and owls.
Have seen several mountian lions, bobcats, black bear and the occasional deer mutant that looks like an elk.
I am in the same boat as you on this. The deer are basically like rats with hooves, and way over populated. I have no problem with a person killing as many as he can, as long as he/she uses the meat to feed their families.
The only reason they are prosecuting him is because he didn’t pay his hunting license fee/tax.

oh ok, fine him but puttin him in jail is only costing us thousands of tax dollars, for deer. make him work and pay large fines would be the appropriate punishment
I was driving a section of highway, and two large four lane highways merged. As I took the other highway, I was aware there were dozens, if not hundreds of squirrel carcasses on and around the highway!
I wondered why, and a split second later realized there were big stands of oak trees on either side of the road there!
Acorn heaven on both sides of a four lane highway!
Maybe the poacher should just be made to read Felix Salten's novel...but maybe it is above his reading level.

Wish he had lived in MD when he did it... The state is overrun by deer... The only pests with greater numbers in MD are the communists... I only wish it was the commies running across the highways during heavy traffic... Wouldn’t be so pissed by front end damage as I am now...
