I know I’m a teen, but liberals, how did you get to the meeting. Did you go by horse and buggy? Are these liberals going to sell everything and show us how to go green...

A 100% ban on oil, gas, coal in all it’s forms.

Because the USA is now the world leader in oil and gas production and has the largest coal reserves on Earth. Because Communist China manufactures 80% of the world's solar cells and has centrally planned a huge overcapacity for the sole purpose of dumping their output on the USA no matter the environmental cost.

From Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Cells and Modules from China

"Manufacturing is the main pillar of the national economy, the foundation of the country, tool of transformation and basis of prosperity. Since the beginning of industrial civilization in the middle of the 18th century, it has been proven repeatedly by the rise and fall of world powers that without strong manufacturing, there is no national prosperity. Building internationally competitive manufacturing is the only way China can enhance its strength, protect state security and become a world power."

•The government of China has targeted the solar industry since at least 2006.

•The development of the industry in China was not organic: the technology was obtained both legally and illegally from other countries.

•The government continuously intervened to keep the Chinese industry viable, which resulted in massive overcapacity.

The Chinese do not eat their own dog food. Solar installations in China are in decline. Instead they are going full bore building many new brown coal burning power plants.

Don't Luddite Get You Down

We'll have our global warming,
it's gonna be the rage.
The benefits are forming
to stall the next ice age.

But, hark, what muffled grousing
the transom overflows,
as climate change arouses
funky festooned foes.

It's a cascade of excresence
to make mankind regress
to living like a peasant
while using less and less.

Crank up the moth-balled factories
and turn the A/C down.
Build nuclear reactors
to light your life and town.

I would be hard pressed to get upset if all those places that elected people stupid enough to play this crap were forced, at gun point, to go fully green and fuel free for the remainder of their lives.

I say that knowing that as a Californian, it’s quite possible I’m one of those that’d be forced. Serves us right for letting the thumb-sucking idiots into office.

I don’t know how many of you are physicists, or have taken physics courses and retained any of that knowledge, but there is a little “workshop” over in Cranbury, New Jersey who has worked to ‘crack’ open QM and found it to be rotten to the core ... instead, he has managed to explain physics at the nuclear level with the classical laws of Newton, Maxwell et al.

Moreover, this lead him to perform experiments to confirm same, and, in particular, perform experiments with Hydrogen ... the result was to CONFIRM that the electron in Hydrogen can be taken to a lower energy orbital than QM “says” is possible, and a WHOLE LOTTA energy is released in doing so.

Anyway, anybody with the technical chops is welcome to review where this little company stands with their-

Where does this have relevance with regard to “Green” energy? It’s going to “wipe the floor” with windwills and solar, and petrochemicals even ...

Right now there is 23000. MW of PV In CA
PGES PEAK LOAD IS 56-58000 MW
That’s 50% already

“Forty-four mayors, 63 county and state legislators and 116 city council members

They should put their beliefs into action.

Eliminate fossil fuels for their jurisdictions”
Exactly, Exxon, Chevron and BP should remove their products from the market in these jurisdictions and see how many people are still alive there in February. No trucks bringing food to the supermarkets, unless they are magic electric ones that don’t exist. No heating oil. No electricity. Like a Cormac McCarthy novel, e.g. “The Road”.

Let me see if I can translate this correctly.

23,000 MegaWatts of Photovoltaic in California.
Pacific Gas & Electric's PEAK Load is 53-58,000 MegaWatts.

That 23k is 43.4% of low PEAK and that 23k is available during what time frame as low sun conditions tend to be less efficient than mid-day. Next question is when is the average PEAK draws in CA? These are generally in early AM and evening PM hours. What is the on-line storage capacity for off-peak electricity? Wind power is probably more available throughout the day but what is its availability?

Yes, there is a 'market' for PV and Wind, especially with the tax credits provided from taxpayer's wallets BUT to go for 50% will require a probable 65% capacity and a significant investment in power storage options and power line infrastructure.

According to the 2012 census there were over 89,000 local governments in the United States (County, Municipal, etc.). They employ around 20,000,000 people. So, out of 20,000,000 people in 89,000 agencies, they mustered 300 idiots. Wow, what a news story!!!

These libtards think they are smart and educated but they are as dumb as a box of rocks.

It is obvious they haven't thought their ideas through.

They don't seem to grasp the reality that the entire modern world was built on, and is sustained by, so-called fossil fuels.

Without coal and petroleum there wouldn't be enough hydro-electric, wind and solar generated power to heat and light their homes, provide public and private transportation, power ships, airplanes and trains, produce and deliver the food they eat, run factories, or manufacture more of their beloved solar panels and wind turbines.

Without power to heat and cool tall buildings and operate elevators they become uninhabitable.
Cities would turn into uninhabitable death traps and morgues in a matter of days.

How would hospitals and nursing homes function without large amounts of electric power?
Who will manufacture their medications if the factories don't have power?

Nuclear power?
Works fine but there isn't enough of it - and the libtards hate that too.

If they want to go back to growing their own food, lighting their homes with whale oil and cooking their meager meals over a wood fire they just need to follow their own advice.

Except there would be no oil to run modern whaling ships and most libtards couldn't cut enough wood to keep themselves alive one winter or grow enough food to keep their families alive a week or two.

Steam powered trains and boats?
There aren't any to speak of and how many people have the knowledge and skills to build them?
And how would they manufacture new ones without power to run modern factories?

Horses and horse drawn carriages?
It would take half a century to breed enough horses and how many people know how to build a buggy?

Heck - how many could build anything without power tools?

Without fossil fuel power to power the nation half the population would be dead within months.
