WILL THE MUELLER SWITCH PROJECT COLLAPSE?
Powerline ^ | December 16, 2018 | JOHN HINDERAKER

Posted on 12/16/2018 8:26:49 AM PST by Hojczyk

The sentencing of General Michael Flynn could turn out to be the Waterloo of the Mueller Switch Project. The feds never could have convicted Flynn of perjury or lying to government officials–they don’t even have a transcript of what he said to the FBI! As a criminal case, it was always a non-starter. The Justice Department initially had no intention of prosecuting. But then, after Robert Mueller took over the case, Flynn was squeezed into a single guilty plea by the threat of personal bankruptcy.

Mueller’s team is now saying that General Flynn needn’t go to prison–the equivalent of “oops, never mind”–and it appears that Judge Emmet Sullivan may be on to Mueller. We will soon find out.

Meanwhile, even NPR has noticed that the Democrats’ beloved Russia collusion conspiracy theory has fallen apart:

Trump has been implicated in ordering a scheme to silence two women ahead of Election Day in 2016 about the alleged sexual relationships they had with him years before.

That is a serious matter, or it might have been in other times, but this scheme is decidedly not a global conspiracy with a foreign power to steal the election. *** From what is visible today…the case is still Swiss cheese.

NPR makes the obvious point that we and others have observed repeatedly: the absence of evidence of Russian collusion in Mueller’s attacks on General Flynn, Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen, not to mention the continued absence of any charges whatsoever against Carter Page, who must be the most innocent man in America, plainly means that when it comes to collusion–the ostensible subject of his investigation–Mueller is shooting blanks. Say, Bob, remind me: what does Stormy Daniels have to do with your mission as Special Counsel?

Trump has been implicated in ordering a scheme to silence two women

The only "scheme" was by the two women. One was pretty much straight blackmail, the other a scheme to sell her salacious story to a tabloid. Trump's actions were a defense against THEIR schemes.

Do yourself a little favor, check locally where ever you live, see how much it is just to hire a lawyer for say a "DUI" (Driving Under the Influence,) I'll bet your in the neighborhood of $5000.00 to $10,000.00 depending on the facts of a case.

Sounds about right.

I believe that the entire cost of a DUI in most states is now from $15,000 to $20,000.

Needless to say, I quit having a drink and driving afterwards many, many years ago, when I saw where the "Jesters" system was heading with that.

That’s the thing....that Mueller still didn’t present the original 302 interview of Flynn but a summary of Strzok summation of the interview to the Special Counsel. Will Judge Sullivan let that go? He blasted the feds for what they did to Ted Stevens years ago...will he hold Mueller in contempt of court? Obviously I’m more than sure that the 302s were indeed changed as the rumored fly that it was McCabe doing this

A question bubbling up in my mind is if Justice Sullivan has the authority to request a Special Counsel to investigate the lost / altered 302 Report requested in evidence motion to compel? If the judge also dismisses the case for prosecutorial misconduct, would he recommend disbarment for Mueller?

Besides the coerced guilty plea, Mueller’s “evidence” of Flynn lying to the FBI consists of an FBI interview of Peter Strzok about a conversation from months earlier, with the original FD-302 missing in action. Peter Strzok’s extensive text exchanges conclusively prove that he despised Trump and actively pursued an “insurance policy” in case Trump won the election. McCabe, who sent Strzok to question Flynn, has a known animus against Flynn.

Could any honest person look at this picture and fail to draw the obvious conclusion: prosecutorial misconduct? Judge Sullivan is in a strange legal situation, but if he has any integrity, he has to blow this up somehow.

“Did he even have a lawyer?”

Lawyers on that level are unbelievably expensive.

Not doubting what you say at all. In essence, under the American legal system, the wealthy have legal representation, but the average citizens do not.

Why is it okay for any prosecutor, investigator, or police to lie, but not then also okay for a citizen, suspect or not, to do so?

Members of Congress lie on a daily basis to the American people. Yet, it is a crime for someone to lie to Congress!

Yes, I wonder what would happen there or anywhere if the person being questioned ask this first, “Okay, before we start, are you agreeing to tell me the truth, only the truth, and all the truth? Are you promising to not lie to me directly or through omission? If so, I’m happy to proceed and entertain your questions.”

Absent the original 302 report, no jury would convict Flynn. How in the world would a jury member NOT have reasonable doubt? Mueller: “Oh, just trust me, he lied.” The 302 report that was sent to the judge was written months AFTER the interview.

I was I was as certain as you that 20 Republican Senators wouldn’t vote for conviction and thereby removal.

Time will tell. I just quit respecting anything GOP quite a while back. Say when they (and in the majority) opted not to have a real trial with witnesses and such for Bill Xlinton.

Reasonable doubt or preponderance of evidence, which is required?

LEO’s are allowed to lie.

Only if civilians lie does it become a crime.

They would charge him with thirty other made up charges..

Go to trail facing thirty charges...

the jury thinks right away the guy must be guilty of something..

Or plead guilty one charge...

Thank you for the correct answer. People have been struggling to deal with what is obviously an entire federal agency gone rogue. The answer is equally obvious - fight fire with fire.

If Trump can’t fire mueller and can’t defund his witch-hunt, then he should appoint a special council to take down the beast. Blindside him, harass him, bankrupt him, use any measure of trickery against him, persecute him, and throw his ass in jail!

Apparently it is the American way...

Yes, I’ve said from the beginning as well that since the DOJ/FBI cannot really investigate themselves and the IG is simply a quiet way to bury things, that several special counsels need to be appointed to (1) investigate bias, abuse, leaks, bribes, and all at the DOJ/FBI, (2) investigate Clinton email, (2) investigate uranium deal, and more

Alternatively, the hearings by the Congress and the IG report are activities to shape the battlefield.

The numbers of conspirators and of various criminal activities is so large that they must all dribble out piecemeal for the public to absorb.

If the indictmants omw with the public not knowing and certainly not understanding the crimes, there would be media led revolt. Now we know with certaintu that the media reporters, producers, and executivies are complicit in the conspiracy crimes not protected by free speech
