In a hotel conference room in Denizli, Turkey, about 60 Iranians sing along to songs praising Jesus mixed with Iranian pop music. When the music stops, American pastor Karl Vickery preaches with the help of a Persian translator.
"I'm not famous or rich. But I know Jesus. I have Jesus," he says, with a Southern drawl. The Farsi-speaking Christian converts shout "Hallelujah!" and clap.

Must not want to live very long.
Christian Evangelism is illegal in Turkey. NPR is trying to get people killed.
NPR? Natch.
“Must not want to live very long.”
Or they want to live forever.
Post of the year!
Merry Christmas!
This is something we should be cheering. We worry too much in the west about having others coming here who are not Christian. We spend too little time advancing the idea of how to invite these non-Christians to follow Christ. This is more opportunity than threat.
I am not advocating for open borders. I am suggesting that we are neglecting the most potent instrument in our tool kit.
Serious business, if you are looking to invest in the conversion of Iranians, I commend the Elam project to you. It has been incredibly effective.
Be interesting to see the Catholic and Orthodox reaction to this.
In many mulsim areas, they will turn against converts out of fear of losing their (nominal) rights.
Better to sacrifice potential new converts than have the old church building destroyed or other rights curtailed.
Not everywhere, but I talked with enough hidden missionaries that this is a major issue.
A great many in the political and the religious groups have no interest in helping Middle Eastern Christians. It is not PC to help non white Christians.
Ask yourself why Catholic Charities move Muslims from Syria, but have little to do with the Christians trying to escape.
To the contrary, they must want to have eternal life.
that’s a definite improvement
whatever Mohammed may have believed or intended, Islam has become IslamoNazism and its the Satanic scourge (and biggest threat) on the earth today
the quicker it is terminated, the better chance we all have

********************************
Yep, identification of specific names and detailed identification of exact location. NPR wants to get people killed and/or the conversion activities stopped
Yep.
I just told the Hubby I got the “Post of the Year Award,” on FR from “PlateOfShrimp.”
He’s still laughing.
Iranian Christians speak Farsi natively. But other Mideast Christians, speaking Arabic natively, make very loyal, grateful immigrants invaluable as interpreters for security agencies monitoring terrorist communications. Also, the centuries of persecution against Arab Christians, no, make that millenia, make them the least likely to pay heed to the siren song of Jihadis on the www.
I'd say that your average white student in your average govt-run American school, exposed nonstop to anti-Christian messages their whole lives, but now in increasing numbers exposed to positive messages about Islam as part of mandatory Diversity Training, is likelier to join the Jihadis as a lone wolf sympathizer, than an Arab Christian refugee would be.
Apostasy is a huge issue for Islam.
There are a number of youtube channels devoted to helping Muslims leave this cult.

“Christian Evangelism is illegal in Turkey. NPR is trying to get people killed.”
According to the article, freedom of religion is Constitutionally protected in Turkey:
“But Turks are becoming increasingly intolerant of refugees. While the Turkish government allows freedom of religion and even protects churches in many cities, refugees are assigned to live in small conservative towns where they may face discrimination from the local population wary of evangelicals. Despite local objections, evangelical pastors say they will continue to preach the Bible because Turkey’s constitution gives them the right.”
“thats a definite improvement
whatever Mohammed may have believed or intended..”
What mohammed intended was a nice, safe, cushy position for himself with acolytes dedicated to his every whim.
Mohammed was a bandit who figured out that founding a religion was a safer and easier life than attacking caravans and small towns.
Mohammed was kicked out of Mecca for preaching his new religion and came back later and converted the city at the point of the sword.
A pedophile and moral deviant who gave the world islam and kept his followers in the dark ages.
In the 20th century L Ron Hubbard would do the same and give us Scientology. Islam without the outright butchery.
