I suspect it was Christie who arranged the meeting, not the President.

Christie would have been bad for this position. Too high strung.

Good..I didnt want him to take the job anyway
To: yesthatjallen
Thank God.
I love Christie, but he shouldn’t be in a position that requires a master’s degree in tact and diplomacy.

Dodged a bullet, if the job actually was offered to him.
Remember back in 2016 when we believed that Trump had some almost supernatural knack for “picking the right people”? He’s picked good ones, and he’s picked bad ones — pretty much like everybody else. (The bad ones, e.g., Sessions, Priebus, have been spectacularly bad.)

Same old Trump ‘head fake’.
Christie was never a serious contender for a Cabinet position in Trump’s administration, POTUS floated that idea in a successful attempt to troll the media!

Yeah another winner for sure...he allows the fbi stazi to raid a whistleblowers house and then pulls Huber from testifying from Congress.
Things have changed so much since he had been there. This clown makes Sessions look competent. Opps my bad he was Sessions guy so he must be perfect.
Trump may have actually done himself in with his idiot appointments.

The deal breaker was that Trump refused to install a new cafeteria next to the Chief of Staff office to be run by Golden Corrall.
