Thursday marks the 10th anniversary of former Vice President Al Gores prediction that within five to seven years, it was likely that the North Polar Ice Cap would be completely free of ice during some months of the summer.
The Gateway Pundit blog recalled Gores remarks to the United Nations Climate Change in Copenhagen on Dec. 13, 2009, referencing computer models by scientists.
Some of the models suggest that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years, said Gore.
However, according to the Danish Meteorological Institute, there has been no trend in Arctic sea ice for the past 12 years.
In January 2006, Gore promoted warnings of a true planetary emergency due to global warning, stating that within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return.
Nevertheless Gore is still widely regarded as the Paul Revere of global warming. He will host a 24-hour broadcast special on climate change Dec. 20 featuring celebrities such as Moby and the Goo Goo Dolls. 24 Hours of Reality: Protect Our Planet, Protect Ourselves will be televised in more than 125 countries.
Gores 2006 Oscar-winning film An Inconvenient Truth spread his message of impending global cataclysm. But a decade after it debuted, the Blaze found that eight of his key dire predictions didnt come to pass:

He said the same crap in 2000 that it was going to happen by 2013......
Algore has made a ton of money on this climate change scam, and guess what folks, hes not stopping despite being proven a fraud. Why should he? The idiots on the left are still gonna line his pockets with tons of green stuff!
As long as the AGW crowd gives us “just 10 more years” ever 10 years, I figure we’re good to go.
The first time I heard Gore I thought he was someone who was mentally “slow”! Maybe he isn’t but that’s was my initial impression. Since then the image that pops in my head of Gore when I hear him is a scene from the movie “O Brother Where Art Thou”. The scene where the Mississippi governor played by Charles Dunning. He, his campaign advisor and son are discussing he threat posed by the opposition candidate - the ‘reform’ candidate. The Governor’s son says, “Daddy why don’t we get some of that ‘reform stuff’ and then we can be the ‘reform’ candidate too!”. The Guv says that’s the stupidest idea he has ever heard and presides to beat this son with his hat! Funny scene! In my mind’s eye I see the old crafty (and bigoted!) Southern pol Al Gore Sr, sitting there like the Mississippi governor. Gore Jr says something stupid and Gore Sr chases him around beating him with his hat!
Note Gore’s weasel words:
Some of the models suggest that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years, said Gore.

Weasel words:
“some”
“suggest”
“could”
Due to the presence of these weasel words, his statement means nothing.
Oh like “suggest”, “75 % chance”, “some of the summer months”, “could”. Those kind of non-committal words and phrases?
Shoulda been ice free twenty years ago.

Gore on his climate scare stuff reminds be of a traveling fire and brimstone preacher, going from town to town preaching “money the root of all evil”. Only way to save yourself was to give him your money so he could use it to keep preaching and save others.
Yup. Despite what a lot of FReepers think, Gore is not stupid. He has made himself a billionaire riding the Eco-Train. He is not going to paint himself into a corner.
That’s a good characterization!
or Gore’s just the front man and gets his “cut”!
It's easy to be committed to something that makes you as much money as ManBearPig has made off 'climate change.'
Nope, not when he can buy his own carbon credits then charter a private jet guilt free to fly to any corner of the world. ;-)
Does Al Gore still own 7 mansions with swimming pools? And does he still fly around the world on private jets?
Maybe he’s just a stupid, lying hypocrite...
He has dispensation from the anti-pope.
You mean like Brother Love?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhGMmmd9Ixs
Nat’l Geo channel had one on this week, in retrospect of President Trump’s removal of US from Paris Climate Treaty. Couldn’t watch more than ten of the 83 minute show (even as background noise), especially when I saw it was Mr. Hockey Stick as a main commentator. Maybe later I will fast forward to see if they give the “Denier’s” side of the story.
Sure he’s losing sleep over what we think of him. LOL! Probably has his room lined with $1,000.00 bills. ;-)
