New York (CNN Business)The Weekly Standard, the magazine that espouses traditional conservatism and which has remained deeply critical of President Donald Trump, will shutter after 23 years, Clarity Media Group, the owner of its publisher announced Friday morning. It will publish its final issue on December 17.
The announcement came after the magazine's editor-in-chief, Stephen Hayes, met privately with Ryan McKibben, the chairman of The Weekly Standard's publisher, MediaDC.
"For more than twenty years The Weekly Standard has provided a valued and important perspective on political, literary and cultural issues of the day," McKibben said in a press release. "The magazine has been home to some of the industry's most dedicated and talented staff and I thank them for their hard work and contributions, not just to the publication, but the field of journalism."

That was Yoe’s comments.
The Weekly Standard is run by the heir of Vladimir Lenin/Trotsky.

Die Fake News! Die!
I signed up as a charter subscriber.
In the very first issue Fred Barnes wrote a mindless screed about how the Allman Brothers Band didn’t belong in the R&R Hall of Fame and how some shlocky, garbage pop band whose name I can no longer recall should have been in it.
Part of his rationale was that the Allman Brothers were hippies and that his preferred group of lightweights were all-American boys.
I doubt that I would ever want to engage in a political discussion with any members of the Allman Brothers but there is no band whose music has had such an enduring hold on me throughout the decades.
As a guitar player and singer myself, I can tell you that the Brothers have had a profound influence on rock and blues music since they burst on the scene in 1969.
I promptly canceled my subscription.
Don’t even get me started on Trump-hating asshole Bill Kristol.
