Pornographers are bracing for the first major obscenity clampdown in three decades under President Trumps new pick for attorney general, William Barr, a strident social conservative whose views threaten the lucrative industry.
Anti-porn campaigners were thrilled with Trump's selection of Barr, previously attorney general under President George H.W. Bush, noting his enthusiastic obscenity prosecutions in the early 90s.
Pornographers are taking the threat seriously, but argue a crackdown would be hypocritical under the thrice-married Trump. His links to the industry include softcore Playboy cameos, an alleged affair with Playmate of the Year Karen McDougal, an alleged tryst with hardcore star Stormy Daniels and an accusation of assault by adult actress Jessica Drake.

Could it be that porn is just a cover for laundering money? I suspect that goes on in the art world as well. Look at the crap that goes for big $$$.
The biggest problem is “amatuer porn” which walks right up to human trafficking and honks it’s nose.
Hey Mr. Barr, let’s hold off on the crackdown until Stormy Daniels has paid President Trump the $300,000 she owes him.
Its boring
I tell my boys its stupid and real girls are it
For what it’s worth, Tumblr has told all adult blogs they will be shut down 12/17.
I predict Tumblr loses so much traffic that it will shutter within 12 months.
Headline should read “Porno Industry Girds The Girths”.
Not worried yet. I hear porn is still pretty popular.
Cant get off on half downloaded pics!
Let me know if you run across any good stuff. I’m doing research.
Honestly, I don’t even know what that is...
Wow, you are such a dedicated researcher. All on your own time and all.
I only like porn that is so g rated you can watch it with your grandmother and she will say, aw, that is so sweet. Like this. https://youtu.be/6r8zfT3eDrs
Better than being destroyed by a woman.
Re: William Barr, a strident social conservative whose views threaten the lucrative Porn industry.
This claim is not serious.
In 1991, all eight Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to confirm William Barr as Attorney General.
That was essentially the same group of Democrats who destroyed Robert Bork, and who tried to destroy Clarence Thomas.
But they voted 8-0 to confirm Barr.
Agreed. Sleepy Sessions made it his mission to clamp down on drugs when he should have been cleaning up the corrupt DOJ and FBI. I hope Barr doesn’t make the same mistake by focusing on porn instead of important things.
I was under the impression you can get all this stuff you want for free now. Heck, Family Guy even had an episode about it (involving Quagmire).
Who pays for this stuff any more?

Not everything is a front for laundering money. Having a real two-fister with a guy on Facebook who insists all best sellers by political people are an excuse to launder money for campaigns.
There is such a thing as a book that sells, and there is such a thing as a porn addiction.
Was sitting in a computer cafe when somebody started downloading kiddie porn. You can watch it but you can’t download it (and sell it!) because then you are competing with those already in business. Guy next to him ratted him out and the cops came. They left some hapless police woman guarding the computer while they went to get the computer squad. It is serious stuff.
I agree that porn is a terribly destructive force in our society.
HOWEVER...
Our Republic is just a few inches from going over the cliff.
Reigning in porn should NOT be one of DOJ’s top 867 priorities.
Just like how busting pot smokers should not have been under Sessions.
I have given up on it ever happening, but in my opinion, bringing the members of the Clinton Crime Family to justice should be the top priority of the DOJ.
