Case in point: The FEC hit Barack Obama's 2008 campaign with, according to The Washington Post, "among the largest penalties in the agencys history" when it levied a $375,000 fine for failing "to disclose the identities of donors responsible for $2 million in contributions" and misreporting "the dates of $85 million in other contributions." The Obama people "kept $1.3 million in contributions that were above the legal maximum allowed for a federal campaign, failing to return them within the 60 days required by law. The campaign kept almost $874,000 of those donations until the FEC discovered they were unlawful."
Doing a quick bit of math here, the Obama campaign made mistakes with nearly $90 million, or about 321 times the amount Trump and Cohen were dealing with. Obama supporters say these were paperwork mistakes (oh, to have paperwork this lucrative!) while Trump's antagonists argue his alleged sins are far more sinister.
*snip*
If you want to impeach the president, go for it. But don't insult the Constitution's demand for high crimes and misdemeanors with this campaign finance flimflam.

No voice of reason. They’re just realizing that this would be the polar opposite of how Clinton was handled.
I wonder how many of these DemonRats spent time in the Playboy Mansion or in the Bohemian Grove? To be fair, it’s time for them to line up for their recall slips.
But cant he be impeached just for being Trump? /s
Hell, Bill Clinton did MUCH worse than pay hush money.
That and it also opens the can of worms for when they pay off a woman.
Rather than attempt a suicidal impeachment, the Rats will probably let this hush-money crap hang around until the 2020 election for political reasons.
PDJT45 can counter that with declassification, showing the whole Mueller crap to be a politicized scam.
He can also attack the Rats on health care. In the House, they will be too divided between the establishment and their loco-socialist-Bernie-AOC wing, so they won't be able to pass Medicare-for-all or anything else.
Meanwhile, the rabid pro-impeach base will be disappointed, and many of their voters will stay home.
It will only take about 18 seats to flip the House back to the GOP. POTUS has a clear path to real MAGA, beginning 1/20/2021 (as long as McTurtle, McCarthy, and John Roberts don't monkey it up).
Everyone hold it! Trump denied it. How many women claim to have had affairs with famous men in order to squeeze money from them? It is often easier and cheaper to pay them. As far as is known, Trump didn’t pay them to shut up about something that didn’t happen. He paid them to stop bothering him.
hahah, rly! sounds like they're now discovering they're not brave enough to back the crazy talk!!!
Some morons don’t even know what a “make it go away” settlement is. The court battle would cost many times as much even if one is innocent. Those settlements happen all of the time and it’s not just President Trump.
We’d have heard about it if Trump had Lewinsky under the Resolute Desk.
But then I remembered a very valuable Seinfeld TV analogy.
Women wanna know what's on.
Men wanna know WHAT ELSE is on..
Whatchyathink? d;^)
This statement is inaccurate and must be modified.Paying off women is one of at least several "Articles of Impeachment" that will be approved.Simply put,if 218 members of the House (a simple majority) vote "aye" on an Article of Impeachment that means the President *has* been "impeached".
What would have been accurate would have been "but that won't get him removed from office".To be removed from office the Senate must vote,two-thirds,to "convict".
There's no way that *that* would happen.
Let’s talk this guy while we’re at it: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DuQKCeUVsAAMtt-.jpg:large

Sitting naked in the 0val Office
We actually don’t know how high maintenance she really is, though.
She knew who he was and walked in with eyes open.
A voice of reason would say that the First Amendment protects campaign contributions in any amount, from anyone. And that the FEC is illegitimate and is disbanded. The challenge to McCain-Feingold, known as McConnell v. FEC, failed by Sandra Day OConnors vote. Nearly the whole of SCOTUS has turned over since McConnell was decided.
You think that would open liberal floodgates? Well, what do you call "the MSM?"
