Mediaite ^ | December 11th, 2018 | by Ken Meyer

Posted on 12/11/2018 10:10:55 AM PST by Mariner

President Donald Trump had a surreal, explosive clash with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) at the White House over border wall funding for their first meeting together since Democrats took control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

Personally, I do not think that the citizens of this country handed the house to the democrats. I think the dems are there because of rampant fraud and illegal votes. I think if we were to have an honestly run election and an honest count of the ballots, there would be very few democrats in congress. This is not what we voted for, and each of us needs to have a personal conversation (prayer) with God about this.

As a DoD employee (9 deployments and counting) I have put money aside for just such occasions.

Debt paid off and several months of pay in a savings account.

Also I can retire anytime I want after 42 years of service.

Mr. President, shut em down. Most of my federal coworkers voted for Democrats, so if they hurt, I have a violin to play for them.

That is fantastic.

Take the fight to them.

And when they impeach, nuke them with openness...declassify...dare the Republicans in the Senate to remove you, but take down the permanent government class.

Why is Nancy even in that room?

She’s clearly demented these days.

Just watched it.

Wow. Schumer just sits there and smirks and pretends to be rude. Nancy is a babbling old airhead who clearly suffers under the illusion that she’s NOT a complete and utter idiot. No WONDER she repeatedly wanted the press out of the room - she looks like a complete fool.

I had no problem with Pence saying nothing. He didn’t need to, with Trump there.

As for our President - he’s just amazing. Made those swamp creatures look like the pandering sub-humans that they are. He needs to start pounding the Democrats for NOT wanting border security and not stop until he gets the damn wall build.

“VP Pence did a great job! Political decorum dictates that he be there in support, but he was the fourth in the pecking order for that conversation.

President Trump handled the room and the issues quite well. There was no need for a second voice of verbal support.”

I agree with your assessment.

Supported by Texas? The state which gave us 2 globalist open border Bush frauds not to mention an LBJ and a governor who attended La Raza meetings?

That's awful nice of them to support this.

A shutdown now would be different. The D’s don’t have Obama to protect their pet program and to shut down National Parks.

I believe Nancy is right. If a vote were taken today on the wall-it would fail. Trump is wrong, she’s right. She knows what we all know-the House is made up of a bunch of squishy weak kneed GOP reps-led by a weakling.

If I were Schumer, I’d call the bluff. I’d promise votes for cloture. I’d swear on a stack of Bibles. That would make the house AND senate GOP crap their collective pants because I’m pretty sure the GOP leadership is very thankful the sims are blocking this.

Feds almost always get the back pay anyway (no guarantees). Although it’s my understanding that this shutdown, if it happens, will be different than the three prior shutdowns in the last 20 years because some agencies have been already funded in this case. In the prior shutdowns all agencies were affected. This would be even more of a “partial” shutdown I believe.

SHUT’ER DOWN, PRESIDENT TRUMP.....

ALL NON-ESSENTIAL PERSONS SHOULD NOT GET PAID FOR THE TIME OF THE SHUTDOWN, EITHER.

SPREAD THE PAIN AROUND....THE REST OF US NEED TO KNOW YOU ARE SERIOUS.

Hahaha. President Trump should have slapped them silly and, then, kicked them both in the a** out the door. These two DIM lunatics despise Free America and Free Americans. Pox on them.

He actually said he would only shut it down if he couldn’t get the wall by one of a couple of different ways—including having the military do it.

So why not that?

Then the have the House because the GOP gave it to them. Which really is the case whether it was via fraud or not.

Trump was careful to say WALL about 100 times.

More wall, no invasion! protect the USA!

Constitutional!

We want a wall, issue wall bonds! Collect from Mexico later. Or not... just build the wall.

How much would we save in the long run?

Yes. I know it already says that. However Congress typically approves retroactive pay even for those who did not come in. Trump just needs to say no.

Maybe you’re right regarding Nancy but I thought the wall was won and done back in the Reagan years. No matter, the wall should be built and if not just close down the government. No loss. Everyone still gets paid.

Exactly. I believe Trump told Pence in advance to not butt in, but to just observe. In a way, he’s coaching Pence on how to deal with the despicable Dem leaders in the future.
