Democratic leaders plan to offer President Trump $1.3 billion in funding for a border fence when they meet Tuesday at the White House, a bid that falls far short of the $5 billion Trump is demanding to fund a border wall.
Democrats, Republicans and the White House have until Dec. 21 to reach a budget deal if they are to avert a partial government shutdown, but talks are deadlocked over funding for the wall.
As House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) prepare for the Tuesday morning, Democrats and Trump are, if anything, moving further apart....

Sometime during this negotiation President Trump absolutely has to point out the fences, the armed guards, and the walls and lock doors that all of the Congress people and Senators use to protect their own houses. That makes them Absolute hypocrites.
They all are. You, of course, know that, and I'm sure you also know that just like all of them, it'll be reported that the Republicans are responsible.

As a Federal Employee who actually provides security to our nation, I say: "SHUT 'ER DOWN!!!" Don't care if it's for six months. More or less, you either have enough saved up, or you're really not that needed... oftentimes, both.

The House is Democrats. Democrats need federal funds to buy votes and make deals. Shutting it down robs democrats and the Deep State of the resources they need to weild power and influence.
Shut it down. Get re-elected. No ones listening to the MSM anymore anyways. If they utter impeachment cut off even more funding. “You just added 10 weeks to the shutdown”.
The “caravan” worked as intended and rankled all of the idiot suburban women who were teetering anyway because of the constant bombastic Trump attacks. I give re-election increasingly lower odds. We really may have just a matter of days to save the Republic as the liberal Hell is coming in January.
Used to be it was all about “The Fence” [see McLame ads a decade back].
A descent [patrolled], improved Fence would get to ~80% of The Wall.
Could be done for less Capital Outlay.
