FULL TITLE: Justice Thomas Blasts Supreme Court for Sidestepping Planned Parenthood: “Quit Abdicating Our Judicial Duty”

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas criticized his fellow justices Monday for refusing to do their job when they rejected a case about state efforts to defund the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

On Monday, six of the nine justices refused to take two cases out of Kansas and Louisiana where lower courts refused to allow the states to defund the nation’s biggest abortion business.

Both states, and several others, moved to revoke taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood after videos exposed the abortion giant allegedly selling the body parts of aborted babies. Planned Parenthood sued the states, and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Kansas cannot defund Planned Parenthood, despite an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice into its aborted baby body parts trade.

Then, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a similar effort by Arkansas to defund the abortion chain in 2017. Because of the circuit split, pro-life groups thought Supreme Court would take up the case.

Thomas said the court made a “mess” of the matter, and blamed the other justices for not wanting to touch a case involving the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

“What explains the court’s refusal to do its job here? I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some respondents in these cases are named ‘Planned Parenthood,’” Thomas wrote in his dissenting opinion.

Justices Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch joined Thomas, but Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined the four liberal justices in refusing to hear the case.

Thomas said he was particularly troubled by the majority decision, because the case has nothing to do with abortion. Instead, it is about Medicaid and patients’ rights.

Bullcrap. They can twist themselves into pretzels when it comes to saving Obamacare. But now they are suddenly solemn craftsmen of the law.

Pure 100% gold plated BS. Roberts is compromised by his homo past and his human trafficking in Irish babies.

What has Ivanka to do with this?

..........................

She approves of ripping babies apart in the womb and she undoubtedly has Daddy’s ear when it comes to some decisions. Quite possibly this very bad one involving Kavanaugh. They should have known every bowel movement he’s taken in the last year to know exactly what they were getting. Yet they still chose him. In other words, there’s a heck of a chance Ivanka got her way. Even if you think I’m nutty, I want no one near the president and any important decisions that does not have a moral base to understand that taking a life of an innocent baby in the womb is an abomination.

Amy NEEDS to be our next SCOTUS pick. Seriously if that happened then Trump would have done everything he needs to do in his term.

But Thomas said it had nothing to do with abortion, it was a Medicaid issue. But he apparently thinks they voted that way to appease pp.

PP was caught manipulating their books, violating clinical and sanitary regulations/laws, as well as allegedly selling aborted baby parts under the table.

Kansas said they were not a quality care provider, ended the contract, and found another provider for individuals to access. This is the matter: to determine if the States can end contracts with providers that break the law (Which they have done NUMEROUS times while winning cases against individuals that sued).

Funny, States were given this power and discretion to cut contracts with other ENUMERATED providers that broke laws, however, PP seems to be immune. Apparently Roberts and Kavanaugh has PP's back.

Another pick should, by rights, have come due, by now. Ginsburg is despicable! She cannot be functioning, in her condition. If she, or any of the others, had full blown Alzheimer’s, they still couldn’t be forced off the court. And I’m not in favor of forcing anyone off, but a judge is supposed to have some wisdom. She’s being totally political by hanging on. Does she really think she can hang on til January of 2021? Even if democrats got their wish, and deposed Trump, Pence would take his place. Evil old woman!

Nominating Thomas was Bush 41’s biggest accomplishment.

Even if Planned Parenthood was a legit operation, this should be a clear cut tenth amendment issue. Thomas is right, as usual. Six “justices” went rabbit and hid.

The only reason Bush picked Thomas was because he needed a token Black to fill the “Thurgood Marshall” seat. That Thomas turned out to be the best justice in a century (along with Scalia,) was pure accident.

How is a judge “supposed to have some wisdom” if she is incapacitated by Alzheimer’s?

Enlighten me; What in the Constitution grants the federal judiciary authority over state budgets?

Once I heard Kavanaugh speak in that whiney, pleading voice of his, I was actually hoping he’d withdraw.

Fake News! Not really about planned parenthood. It is about suing the government.

I was cringing the way he was taking it like a champ at confirmation. He could not even invoke a counter attack, just tried to slide through.

I personally detest the idea of abortion; however, who am I to judge people outside my faith (or in for that matter) Obviously, those choosing abortion are not Christian nor God-fearing. What they do is their business.

Hos.13:16 says, “Samaria shall become desolate: for she hath rebelled against her God; they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.”

Of course, as a tax-paying citizen, I do object to financing such endeavors. Kavanaugh had his chance to side with the Constitution and he muffed it. This is not the federal government’s business so we shouldn’t give money for functions that are best handled by the state. (10th Amendment).

After what happened to Kavanaugh, I hope she won’t decline the nomination. Not everyone wants to be put through a meat grinder.
