What really matters in this country and what makes our Founding so unique is that the individual person is placed at the center of our Republic as opposed to the government and even, God forbid, the machinations of a dictator.

Hillary's entire life has been one slugfest to get to the top slot of her own design where everyone else is subservient to her.

Thank God half the country and the electoral college did their jobs.

Thank you Jesus!

Since you took exception to what the author wrote, and since the author told about Mills and Russell not being able to find meaning in an atheistic life, my comment very much DOES apply to your remark. So I am addressing your post.

Again, let me know when an atheist organization proclaims you to be smarter than Mills or Russell. Tell us, how can you have ultimate meaning and purpose in life without a transcendent god. That is what the author was addressing and that is why he was quoting Mills and Russell. And you were disagreeing from the author.

“I always get a kick out of theists attempting to tell atheists what’s wrong with how they think...kinda like a rhino telling a shark how to swim...”

Do you think us believers were born saved???

We were born sinners, misfits, atheists, and non-believers and through the grace of God became believers with faith in Jesus Christ.

The reason us “rhinos” can tell the “shark” how to swim is that we were “sharks” at one time and know for a fact that the “sharks” are swimming into the frying pan for which there is no escape.

True. I was an atheist myself at one time, so I understand IrishBrigade. I don't feel haughty or scorn him for his unbelief. I was there myself, once. But I can't imagine going back to that empty condition. I can only present God's Word and encourage him to reconsider his thinking despite the difficulty he thinks it presents to himself.

I don't tell people how to think - or at least I try not to. It does no good. People have free will and some will resist the Holy Spirit to the very end. I can only point them in the right direction. After that, it is up to God to direct them and He can and will if they will simply just let Him.
