Absence does not make the heart grow fonder when it comes to President Trump and his first secretary of state, Rex Tillerson.
Nine months after Trump summarily dismissed his top diplomat by tweet, he followed it up with another tweet in which he branded Tillerson dumb as a rock and lazy as hell.
The biting words came after Tillerson, in an appearance at a charity event in Houston, said their relationship soured over Trumps repeated demands that Tillerson do things that were illegal.
So often, the president would say, Heres what I want you to do, and heres how I want you to do it, Tillerson said at a fundraiser for the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, in his first public remarks about his truncated tenure since he was let go in March.

Generally I agree - the more that he attacks the other side, the better. But sometimes one can go too far, and attacking someone he chose in this manner seems to be, uh, less than optimum
Then his replacements preceded to remove Boy altogether.

Yes ......... see # 17. That was disgusting. Tillerson .......... just another tool of the devil.
If the President is to have any chance in getting re-elected he is going to have to expand his base somewhat.
Im thinking the constant barrage against him is beginning to take its toll. On him."

I agree. Innovation and significant improvement depend upon people doing things "that can't be done." Some of the most significant innovations in my organization were initiated by saying "wouldn't it be great if..." or "too bad we are not allowed to do .... "
Trump is an innovator. A lot of his "wants" are probably illegal, but that does not mean he is wrong. Many laws are in place to correct a situation that does not apply anymore. This is why doing anything in the govt is slow.
Oh come on, thats just lazy thinking. Geesh.
I am sick of armchair critics of Trump who think his actions are for no good reason.
Trump got where he is by street fighting when necessary and being very proper the next.
I seldom quote my father, since he was a taciturn engineer who worked in classified material throughout his career, but he said something to me that stayed with me from childhood:
“A good general never tells his men what to do; a good general tells his men what he wants, and lets them figure out how to do it.”
Donald Trump is a general. Rex Tillerson - like Mitt Romney - is a manager. Managers are upset by generals.
I think Trump has made some major mistakes, but that is his free-wheeling, everthing-is-negotiable style as a CEO. My concern is that he has overestimated the globalist Swamp’s willingness to Do the Deal.
I think these people are more ideological and criminal than Trump credits. He lives in the real world; those lifelong apparatchiks do not.

I think many will be in jail and some at GITMO, based on Grahams questions to Justice K. Trump knows they are evil.
Nice quote from your dad!
True. He does and he will.
