I don’t live in LA any more. But if I did I’d be happy to drop off bags of lawn clippings at the local theater. They could pay me $0.10/bag and sell it for $5/baggie (100s of baggies per bag). I wouldn’t get much richer, but they can make a killing on margins if there are actually a lot of vegans who want to eat at theaters and I could laugh at the idiots paying $5/baggie for my lawn clippings.

The theaters have a hard enough time filling their rooms as it is. Don’t start trying to make people conform to something they have no interest in. Maintain the separation of Vegan and State, please! If there’s no down side to adding a vegan option and if there’s a demand for it, wouldn’t the theaters have done it already? I mean they’re out to make money right?
Or maybe the theaters just aren’t aware of the demand. In that case, maybe the councilman could contact the theaters to make them aware. Then you wouldn’t need a law.
But of course it’s more fun to force people to do stuff.
