Try to keep up.>>>

So you think at this point that a few ship loads of LNG will keep up with a dedicated pipeline feed? Russia cuts off the Gas and Germany freezes for the winter. The question is strategic, not about anything else. Ship supply ramp up would take many months to suppl Germany , which does not have the LNG storage to supply itself like the Russian pipeine does.

NATO is toast.

That’s just silly. LNG doesn’t have to compete with the volume of a pipeline, and the odds of Russia shutting off the flow is infinitesimal.

What they like to do is get a customer hooked and then jack up the prices during times of need. When LNG is available to add to supply that puts a cap on how much Russia can charge for their gas.

The pipeline in question does not yet exist, and Russia desperately needs the money from sales to pay for its construction. Shutting off the flow would be ridiculous. That said, the United States has so much available natural gas that we could have a string of supertankers delivering LNG to Germany so fast it would make your head spin.
