I still say this is all a money laundering scheme for the Clintons. Somebody pays cash for all the tickets and now they have legitimate ticket sales income. They end up giving away the tickets and who cares if the people show up. Even if they cancel the event, they do not give refunds and pocket the cash as a legitimate sale.
Sneaky ... but then, they’re good at it.
That scheme sounds pretty accurate. The Clintons never did anything unless they were guaranteed a specific amount of cash.
Not much new under the sun, or the back alleys.
In 1988 Wright became the target of an inquiry by the House Ethics Committee. Their report in early 1989 implied that he had used bulk purchases of his book, Reflections of a Public Man, to earn speaking fees in excess of the allowed maximum, and that his wife, Betty, was given a job and perks to avoid the limit on gifts. Faced with an increasing loss of effectiveness, Wright tendered his resignation as Speaker on May 31, 1989, the resignation to become effective on the selection of a successor.[17] He was the first Speaker to resign because of a scandal.

Yes, with that model the sky’s the limit as far as what they can list tickets for, regardless of how many butts are in the seats.
Why not just sell the rights to their life stories to the Clinton foundation for millions. Then they could option the sale to the Obamas for their Netflix "original" content deal and have Bezos launder some of his billions..? He, in turn could sell it to the Saudi Prince for the value of a dead "journalists" story disappearing. Just cause nobody's buying tickets doesn't mean there aren't deals to be made!
