Is he completely stupid? Does he not know that Katowice, Poland is an industrial town? In a coal-mining region? What a moron.

Yes, it was a much better time when horse manure was everywhere, and children could play in the streets with dead horses nearby.

What a goddamn idiot. Who is “we” Kemosabe?

Petroleum - gasoline and diesel - is extremely energy dense. There isn’t anything quite like it. And there isn’t _anything_ on the horizon to replace it. Not even close. Not yet. Maybe ... someday. Don’t be fooled.

The labor saving inventions that use it, are amazing and have allowed for a standard of living for the masses that was previously unavailable, in any way, for thousands and thousands of years. Petroleum products also provide the base stock for plastics, dyes, chemicals, medicine, all kinds of stuff.

Energy prices in turn affect the price of everything we buy. Every. Thing. Is he that dense? It looks like France is collectively about ready to string up their soy-boy “leader” for raising fuel taxes to even higher rates than the already confiscatory levels, and Arnie shoots his mouth off with this twaddle? Talk about tone deaf! Sad.

Let me guess. Arnold wants to go back in time so he can kill all the dinosaurs before they get big, thereby eliminating the oil deposits their bodies would later produce?

Arnold is 71 years old. Life Expectancy before we started burning fossil fuels was about 48 years old.

If we weren’t burning fuels, Arnold would likely be dead 23 years now.

Consider for a moment where our civilization would be without fossil fuels...probably stuck in about the 17th century. There would be no industrial revolution, no autos, no planes.. agricultural production would be done with oxen, horses or mules. What mechanization existed would depend on water power or windmills. There would be no mass production of steel, no railroads no real mass production of any kind. Arnold is anidiot.

Coal is a fossil fuel. It is mentioned in the Bible and likely was used in the late Bronze and early Iron age. So to go back in time to prevent the use of coal, you are essentially saying that you want to return to the Bronze age.

Now how could the UN make all of those trillions of dollars they dream about with no fossil fuels to tax? I wonder if he was joking or messing with their minds.
