TALLAHASSEE — The fallout over Florida's turbulent recount is escalating after the state's outgoing Republican governor decided to oust a South Florida elections official. Gov. Rick Scott late Friday suspended embattled Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes even though Snipes had already agreed to step down from her post in early January.
Scott replaced Snipes with his former general counsel general counsel, Peter Antonacci, to lead the department even though he has no elections experience. Snipes responded by rescinding her previous resignation — and will now be "fighting this to the very end," her attorney said during a Saturday news conference.

Rescind a resignation? How can that happen? When you resign, you’re out of the job. It’s not up to you to then “hire yourself back”. This is bullsheit

So, as I see it, if a leftist loses an election or is fired for gross incompetence the only way to get them to step down is to take them for a ride to Chappaquiddick Island in Ted Kennedy’s Olds 98.
Press criminal charges against her.
Once you resign, you’re done.
No mulligans.

Once you resign you do not have the ability to unresign. You have to apply for the job all over again.

She’ll find a judge who will order Scott to reinstate her. It’s a done deal in Broward. I lived there for almost 60 years. I watched it change from bright red to deep blue in just a couple of decades. They control everything in Broward County.
