Hey there, Kathy.

YAY! Glad AJ arrived safe and sound. Bet there were several groans as he got the grand tour.
SO glad he’s there to help with some of the big stuff - like that light fixture hanging from the ceiling, for one.
And bringing up the corn for the ducks. Priorities. LOL!

Glad you’ve had some success getting the lift track cleaned out. Your knees will be happy to be able to use that thing again.

Yes, we had a pretty, warm day here but it’s all over for the next week or more. Going to be right nippy this week, durn it.

I spent the day downstairs cleaning up the mess while laundry was underway. Got all the ceiling tiles picked up and the broken ones thrown away. Then picking up all the broken glass from 2 broken fluorescent tubes. Then dragged out the vacuum and got up all the rest of the glass and the ceiling tile mess. Now we have room for AJ to figure out how to get the fixture back up and maybe a little better secured. I don’t care about the tiles for now.

I did venture around the corner to my closet and found LOTS more things on the floor. It’s going to be a while before I sleep in my bed again...so many things to sort and move. Fortunately, my fuzzy blankie and I are managing pretty well in the lounger. d:o)

Oh, well. LOL!

Did it warm up any for y’all today? It’s supposed to continue to get colder here. I’m sure the kittehs are in their warm spots by now. Peaches hasn’t budged from the foot of the bed. He was out last night and was sure glad to come in this morning. :)

You got a lot accomplished today. Still a lot to do but you got a good start on things.

Bummer that you found even more on the bedroom floor. There was already more than enough as it was in the pic. Best thing would be to start off boxing the small stuff in categories - CDs in a box and so on. That’ll at least clear the floor so you can move around in there and you can straighten out the stuff in each box one at a time.

Good that the lounger is comfy so you have a place to sleep in the meantime. I hope the guest room wasn’t trashed too badly so AJ has somewhere to sleep.

It did warm up today but there was just enough wind to make it feel a lot cooler than the 70 degrees on the thermometer. Your cold air is on the way though. Not going to be a pleasant week. Oh well, it IS December. LOL

At least you got one night without Peaches. :-)

My knees are pretty sore right now and every time I get up they scream...NO!

AJ’s wife texted me...he’s there, put him to work. LOL!

He already got the painting down from over the fireplace, brought up a whole bag of duck food, and tomorrow will look at the hanging light. A huge help, and then I will slowly work on the other stuff.

Easy to believe they’re sore after all the moving around you’ve done. Going down all the stairs at work when they evacuated everyone couldn’t have helped.

Did you text her back and say, “I already have!”? LOL

I hope he can get the light hung up again. Hanging like it is, it’s pretty much in the way of going anywhere in the room.

I sorta get the explanation of why planes stay in the air, but....they are heavy, so why do they stay up?

They were a group of American heroes for sure.

And we must always remember what they did and how they did it. They made an impossible task happen!

Got all the glass from the fluorescent tubes cleaned up, and the downed ceiling tiles stacked out of the way. And got the stair lift track cleaned of all the broken picture glass. Now I can use it. So I’m making progress.

It’s gonna be a slow process.

I was away from the computer for a few minutes.

There was a 3.6 about 10 miles NNW of you about that time.
Most been 1s and 2s today but there have been a few 3s and 4s. You had a 3.1 just before 5:30 this evening only a mile or so from Anchorage. I imagine you felt that one pretty well.

At least things are slowing down a little. Not nearly as many shakers per hour as there were this time last night.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Did Gizmo run you ragged at the lake again? :-)

Looks like y’all might be getting some wet stuff today. Rain and snow are knocking at OK’s door.

Welcome to the Canteen, caseinpoint...2 more installments are coming.

The Candy Bomber will be featured. A privilege for sure to be able to work with him.

((LOL))Yep, did a little bit of track and field out in the tall grass and brush but I survived.

Nothing here yet (rain/snow) but yes it is close.

He’s keeping you in shape, isn’t he? Wait til he starts running across rabbits to chase! LOL

The wet stuff isn’t moving very fast and looks to be fizzling out a little. Maybe you’ll get lucky and it will die out before it reaches you.

Funny about the guest room...only 2 things fell...a 3x4 little picture of my VERY young man of a Dad, and a mini flashlight off a shelf. And both table clock clocks fell on their faces, but stayed on their tables. And thank goodness my Mom’s big TV is attached to the wall. It would have been on the floor,

I did lay out a couple plastic containers and spent about 15 minutes putting CDs in it. I’ll get back to it this weekend.
