Tijuana(Mexico): Stranded on the US-Mexican border with little hope of entering the United States, thousands of people from a migrant caravan are letting go of their American dream and settling on a Mexican one.
Under a work programme set up by the Mexican government, 2,250 migrants in the northern border city of Tijuana -- out of the roughly 6,000 who trekked here in the caravan from Central America -- have signed up to get jobs, visas and social security benefits in Mexico.
The programme is designed to induce them to stay here, rather than press on to the United States, where wages are higher but where President Donald Trump has made his hostility toward the migrant “invasion” plain.
But it is a long process: just 15 migrants have actually been employed so far.
Denny Guevara, a 26-year-old Honduran man, is one of them.
“It turns out this was my destiny,” he says, smiling ear to ear as he carefully arranges bottles of honey on the shelves of a Tijuana supermarket, the Smart & Final.

How ‘bout that? Some of these people actually have some common sense.
Hope this is true. And thank God President Trump is standing his ground on border security. Any other U.S. president would have folded to the leftist media pressure. Go, Trump! MAGA!
Nice. Instead of bringing them here and making them government dependents, they’re getting jobs and learning to become self sufficient. What’s not to like?
And by not folding it’s the best thing for those that actually do just want something better as compared to the political operatives and activists and criminals involved.

I don’t wish these people ill (besides MS13 and other criminals, which is a lot!!).
But they just CANT COME HERE.
Not illegally anyway.
Other countries in central America may actually have to turn into real countries now!
Trump may well end up changing central America as his legacy, like the fall of the USSR was The Great One’s greatest legacy.
But what REALLY MATTERS is if he talked to a Russian during the election.
Even if it was about the weather.
If there are so many jobs in Mexico, why do the Mexicans come here?????
The White House is also extending the mission for the military on the border until at least February 2019, with less engineers and more military police.
Plus, they already speak the language so they have a much better chance of finding a good job in Mexico. By the way, if this young man does learn to speak English well, and gets on a good career path at Smart & Final, there is the possibility at some later date, he might end up transferring to an USA Smart & Final, completely legally. This is a smart practical young man, in any case.
The key word is LEGALLY. That’s all President Trump is asking for.

The number of Mexicans coming to the USA Today is reportedly about equal to the number leaving. It is Central Americans who are still flooding into our country. If USMCA makes Mexico’s economy even better, maybe even fewer will try to invade us.

The US needs to remove all of the perks to entering the US before Ill support letting anyone in.
