Judge OKs sanctuary cities, rules anti-sanctuary law unconstitutional

A federal judge in New York has ruled the Trump sanctuary city crackdown illegal Friday — but even went further and also ruled the law Congress passed requiring information-sharing is unconstitutional.

Judge Edgardo Ramos‘ decision frees sanctuary jurisdictions in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Washington, Massachusetts and Virginia to continue their policies without fear of losing federal money.

The judge said the Trump administration attempted to write new conditions of cooperation, including notifying the feds of illegal immigrants ready for pickup, beyond what Congress had authorized. He said it is up to Congress to decide those conditions.

“The separation of powers acts as a check on tyranny and the concentration of power,” the judge wrote

But beyond that, the judge ruled Section 1373 of immigration law, which requires at least some level of information-sharing, to be a violation of the Constitution’s Tenth Amendment, which prohibits federal interference with state powers.

"Naturalization has no meaning outside of immigration."

Given the statements made by James Madison about this issue, the drafters of the Constitution made a distinction between naturalization and immigration.

udge Edgardo Ramos is another Barack Obama appointee just trying to continue his liberal legacy. This is one of the judges that Chief Justice John Roberts doesn’t seem to believe exist. I really wonder about John Roberts. They presented him as a conservative. I wonder!

Until women insist that the government stop treating them as inferiors with affirmative action, then they should expect to be treated as just that. The Dems in particular know how to pull their strings and guide their votes, to the point where more women than ever before will die childless and alone. Progress! They aren’t “punished” with children...

The nonsense in the workplace isn’t a bad experience, as it allows me to “right-size” my job to match the efforts of the women. My hourly wage has never been so high, since I now work the same hours as them; these rules and policies reminding us of equal pay laws no longer serve women/minorities, but are the legal justification for us men to drop into low gear - the law says we should be paid as those “special people” in similar positions. We can all benefit from the “soft bigotry of lowered expectations” of women.

What might those comments be? Naturalization is impossible without someone to naturalize i.e., an immigrant.
