Thanks, Luv, for spinning tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
5 minutes ago was a short jolt, and just now a shaker, but only a short one.
As many aftershocks as keep showing up on USGS, I’m surprised you don’t feel like the house is sitting on Jello, quivering.
What a day up there. Everyone’s nerves must be completely frazzled at this point. Seeing everything shake so hard in the video clips I’ve seen on tv is chilling. I hope things calm down SOON so y’all can catch your breath.
Thanks, Publius, for sharing more of Harry Warren from The Great American Songbook. ((HUGS))
Whoof! I am afraid you won’t get much sleep tonight. Is it safe to go to your bedroom, or should you stay and sleep in your chair? Hope things calm down soon!
Good evening, radu...I needed a good laugh. “Shakin’”
Thanks for the video tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
Aftershocks still going on. About an hour ago had a solid jolt. Then maybe 20 minutes ago had a “normal” shaker, a mini version of this morning.
Possible snow til about 4a and then warming up to 40 and possible rain. At least it will be a little warmer for my car that is staying outside in case of another power outage. I have an electric garage door opener. I was really thankful that I had remembered to put a house key on the key chain for the Subaru so I could get in the house.
Welcome, everyone to this weekend's edition of the Canteen Music Dedication. The music in this thread is provided for the enjoyment of the troops and their families.
Please support the artists in this thread. Buy their music and attend their concerts when they come to your area.
We'd like to thank the Canteen DJ's for all their hard work in posting the music to today's thread.
I’ll have to see about getting one. I really do need to get him out of here. Somehow. Besides, I sure don’t NEED more cats. LOL!
How's everyone this morning?
Standing in the door way to my room. It gets worse. LOL!
Just had another shaker, twice as big as the one an hour ago.
I was drawing a blank on what direction to go with tonight’s music line-up and y’all drummed up “inspiration”. There’s certainly still a lot of shakin’ going on up there! Oops! Another big one - 5.1 - just showed up on USGS. Most are up around the Big Lake area, as that new one is, but there have been a couple closer to you tonight.
I hope you’re able to get some sleep tonight. All that activity has to be unnerving.
Doesn’t help that y’all are having such crazy weather. Rain, snow, rain.
We had light rain all day and have a possibility of thunderstorms tomorrow. I hope what’s moving out of OK into AR calms down by the time it reaches here. Been a bit ugly over there tonight. We still haven’t cleaned up all the mess from the tornado a couple of weeks ago.
Glad you had the house key handy today so you weren’t stuck outside.
How have the ducks handled things today. Rattled or as rambunctious as ever for their supper?
From the looks of those photos, all I can say is I’m glad that I’m so prepared for any earthquakes we might get.

My basement already looks like that!
Actually - it is my theft deterrent.
“Oh, forget it Frank. Somebody already ransacked the place!”
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Were you able to make it out to the lake?
I hope you weren’t clobbered by nasty storms.
I get packs of them at Wal Mart. Wear out one, grab another out of the package. LOL! They get a workout here sometimes with our “herd”.
You do need to get him to stay away, that’s for sure!
I tried to get a couple duck pictures and will upload.
Lots came for dinner. The warmest place is in the creek...it never freezes, so they may not have felt much. Who knows.
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You weren’t kidding about not being able to see the floors!
Do you know if there’s been any structural damage to the house? Cracks in the walls or such? I sure hope not!
It looks like Tennessee is about to get this system. You guys stay safe over there.
I will be sleeping in the living room. My room is close to impassable. I picked up some stuff and just added it to the stuff that had already fallen on it. I’m going to be sorting for days. CDs everywhere, from side to side and front to back.
20 minutes ago was a 5+ shaker, a “mini” version of this morning.
It sounds like they weren’t too rattled by the shaking if they showed up for supper. If they’re spending a lot of time in the water, they might not feel the shaking.
I swear our cats sense the earth clanging like a gong because they’ve been almost-out-of-hand wild all day. I checked the calendar for moon phases and it isn’t a full or new moon setting them off.
Whew! Good! I didn’t check the radar during the afternoon and didn’t know when things fired up over there or how bad it got. Glad it wasn’t a rough day and that it all waited until after your trip to the lake.
I saw one tornado warning box in AR not too long ago and there are several severe storm boxes along the line now. Just have to hope things don’t really fire up after the sun comes up. That system will be here by then. We reeeeeeeeeally don’t want another big mess to clean up!
