Exactly. This is not some backwoods controversy, it is being watched across the nation by a largely astute audience. No matter what the judge's political inclinations, he can't appreciate counsel publicly urging him to legislate from the bench.

Exactly. He should dismiss this case with prejudice and sanction the Attorney involved. Comey should be ordered to pay all costs associated. A Contempt citation is well within the purview of the Judge as a former Director of the FBI should know better.

Comey on Thursday sought to quash the subpoena for closed-door testimony, arguing that House Republicans would seek to “peddle a distorted, partisan political narrative about the Clinton and Russia investigations through selective leaks” if he was not interviewed in public.

IOW - he likes to start witch hunts but doesn't want to take a chance of being caught in one...because he knows they are dishonest....ironic.

he was appointed by Trump. he worked on the campaign. His father and my father are cousins somewhere between the Funston’s and Laird’s. I have no idea if he can even spell “constitution”
