I remember Pat Buchanan, Joe Sobran & Sam Francis saying that about Irving Kristol and his boy William. That was many moons ago.

Yep. And we could add Paul Gottfried and Clyde Wilson to that list.

They were aware early on when the newly arrived neoconservatives began to reinvent “conservatism” to suit themselves. And in the process demonize many of those who had always been part of conservative politics. One wit said we should call ourselves reactionaries, it may have been Francis.
