Because the GOP ran a liberal McQueeg RINO who had an even WORSE voting record than Flake ! Run bad candidates, expect bad results.

His bio says he’s Mormon. He looks limp and squishy. I would say ‘Mormon like Romney’ but I actually have close relatives who are Mormon and they are die-hard conservative and I mean die-hard. So I don’t know what to think about the Mormon part but his actions or non-actions scream louder than any of the boiler-plate conservative statements.

The Arizona GOP is an inbred, disfunctional, self destructive organization.

McSally was another McCain or Flake. It was obvious. I can totally see many conservative voters not buying her act. Glad she’s out of the way.

I stopped voting for McCain long ago. I bitterly resent being force to vote for McSally - and then she lost!

I’m never giving my vote away like that again. I feel like a fool.

McCain destroyed the Republican party in Arizona. It is left of center or center at best in most aspects of the state it seems. The McSally campaign kind of reminded me of McCain’s run in 2008. He was the quintessential moderate Republican yet all his moderate Republicans like Colin Powell flocked to Obama. McCain loses and still climbs right back into bed with the rattlesnakes he thought were his friends.

Does the Republican party want to become extinct like it is in California in Arizona? It doesn’t have to tow the same lines as the Democrats, but they do have to offer a clear choice and it doesn’t seem there was much of a choice.

An Arizona hating Democrat and a left of center mushy Republican not really offering big differences in a choice. The McCain Arizona ran GOP has ran every campaign there and continues to lose. The Arizona GOP needs to look in the mirror and ask do we really offer a choice to the voters? Do we really stand for anything? Do we believe what we are saying to the voters?

No! she tried to distance herself from the Trump effect and the Republicans did not get out and support her. She should have been an excellent candidate for any party but she lost to an idiot socialist activist. I guess the McCain effect is still in play in Arizona.

I don’t disagree with you at all.

AZ GOP needs a HUGE overhaul.

It will only get worse now that Grant Woods is making noise again and has switched parties to which I say, good riddance.

McCain still speaks from the grave so it seems.

We should have also had Alabama and, we would have had it, if Trump’s original choice, Luther Strange was the candidate instead of nutcase, horse riding Judge Roy “Nutcase” Moore!!!

$#%!@!!!! Here we go again with that crap. Luther Strange was embroiled in a corruption deal, and the Democrats would have eaten him alive with corruption accusations.

Roy Moore won his race in 2012 with over a million votes, and would have won again in 2017 were it not for deliberate backstabbing by the National party along with the deliberate biased coverage of the Media weapon.

Moore almost won anyway. He lost by the exact number of write-in votes. Richard Shelby went on the public airwaves and urged the people of Alabama to write in someone else's name instead of voting for Moore. Shelby should have shut his D@mned mouth. Jeff Flake should have had his punched in.

Stop trying to put this crap on Moore. The reason we lost that seat is because of the media weapon working together with backstabbing @$$holes in the Republican party who should have just kept their f***ing mouths shut.

Republicans lust in killing their own!!!

You say this while you are casting aspersions on Roy Moore. Do you not get the irony of this?

Sorry, I deeply respect your input and it has merit. I supported Judge Roy Moore from A-Z, but you cannot tell or convince me that the Judge did not have serious flaws...he did. He should have easily wiped up the floor with his Democrat opponent, Jones. SAD!!!

He did, but the media weapon in conjunction with Republican backstabbing is what did him in.

He was an odd duck for this era, and the media exploited it.
